There's a lot of debate about the defining attributes of sexuality. Share what you believe. Keep it serious and respectable. ~~~~~ There's a lot of controversy whether being gay is a choice or genetic attribute. When I was younger I always said it was a choice because it didn't make sense for it to be genetics, because the trait wouldn't be passed on as gay people don't really reproduce. But there's also a study that shows the more older brothers you have the more likely you are of being gay, they say it has something to do with the mother's immune system and the baby being a foreign element that it tries to convert it or something. Also many many different animals have sex with the same sex.
I've kind of contrived the idea that we are all bisexual. We all can care for other people regardless of gender and we all enjoy sex. I think society and our interests play out which one we become. People raised in a conservative christian environment are more likely to be straight, while those raised in a more accepting and creative family have a higher rate of being gay.
It's sort of like in Japan the most popular baby food flavor is sushi, and they eat it and like it. Now personally I think I would gag, but If I grew up eating it maybe I would like it? Culture influences our sexuality a lot. ~~~~~ Okay now for your take.

See my father wasn't born gay, nor was I, the real reason I think is because when I saw him being with men, that in my mind I thought it was fine.Hence now I became bisexual Your statement about creative families usually having a tendency of being gay is somewhat true, because they see the beauty of the world. The statement about the baby is a bit to odd for me. In my own opinon EVERYONE is bi, once in your lifetime(or more) you will have a bisexual experience or will think about sexual thoughts, its human nature, we are curious of the unknown. The culture bit I fully agree on.

I'm glad to see intelligent discussion on this topic. If it starts to get out of hand (I don't anticipate that it will), I am going to lock it, but until then...
I don't have a problem at all with gays. I think seeing a couple guys being affectionate with each other would weird me out a little bit, but seeing people with giant gauge earrings does the same thing. I totally agree that being uncomfortable or morally against someone's decision does not give you the right to restrict others from that activity.
In my mind, the only behavior the government should be able to regulate is that which clearly harms others. I think the courts have done a reasonably good job of upholding freedom of speech, but why do we place so much emphasis on that, while largely ignoring other freedoms that control how we live?
I think that the Internet has shown us that the more free a society is, the better. I think that most of the bad people in the world have been harmed in some way by society, so change the society and the world is a better place. And what the hell? Let people marry whoever they want to.
