My local MicroCenter had a great deal on a 22" Widescreen LCD monitor. It was $250, with a $50 mail-in rebate (bringing the cost down to $200), so I picked one up. I've never had such a large monitor before, and I must say that it's amazing: I love being able to have so many things on my screen at once. It certainly makes multi-tasking easier!

Eh, I've had 1600x1200 resolution for a while on my 19" CRTs, it is nice. But that is a good deal as most 19" LCDs go for around that price.

My resolution right now is 1680x1050, which I'm pretty happy with. Before that I had 1280x1024 on a 17" CRT, and I thought it was hard to see stuff then. I can't image 1600x1200 on a monitor that's only a little bit bigger. I like this one because I can sit about 3 feet away from it and see everything quite clearly... certainly a lot better on the eyes than my last one. Also, the specs say that it only uses 55W, probably less than the light bulb that's on above my head, so I like that, too. I can already tell the difference in the amount of heat that it generates (I have 2 computers and this monitor all on in a small bedroom), so I'm sure I'm saving a pretty good amount of energy. If you do most of your work on the computer, a deal like this is well worth the investment, that's for sure. I couldn't be happier with it (except, of course, that it could be bigger with a higher resolution , if I spent about 3 times as much money)
