Doan you should do a character bio like me and Adam did that displayed the characters lifestyle, age etc. I wanna know more avout your characters. And possibly help spruce them up. IF allowed. It's kind of spooky now... Your the boss of a board now. You make all the rules and if you disobey them. SMACK! a big warning screws up your whole topic. But I like that. Keep being the boss I'd be much more mean though cuz' I'm evil like dat'...

You're right... I do need to do a character bio at some point. The thing is, at this point I really don't have that many characters. I'm currently directing most of my abilities at getting this board the way I want. When I get that taken care of, I'm going to take up working on the CMS and CBS. After that I will be working on my opening cutscene, and the maps and villages that will be required for it. Only after that will I work on my own personal bio of the characters.
I'm still undecided about whether or not I'll actually share a bio. Depending on how you play my game, you will have your own perception of why things happen and why people act the way they do. To put up a bio of anyone other than the main character would be a huge spoiler and really would simplify my game more than it actually is.
New screenshots will come when I have new things to take pictures of. What do you want to see pictures of? In my last update, I took 4 pictures of my menu, because that was really the only thing that had changed since my last update. Pretty much my whole castle can be seen through the screenshots, along with the new waterfall I added. Right now, there's really nothing else I could put up there.
Sorry, but what you're looking for may not come for a while,
Doan the Nado

hf, this topic should have gone in Doans RPG forum. further more, if you had checked there, where it was supposed to go, you would have seen a similar thread already existed. im gonna let it slide this time, but please be a little more observant.

The way I did and posted (on my site linked below) my characters is this... Originally, my characters were more flat and simple (could be easily summarized into little phrases like "A guy who likes hot chicks" and "A guy who likes food a lot"), but after making a private action where one character explains their past and why they are the way the are (opens up to Nick) (then doing something like this with every character), my characters tend to first seem simple in the game, then get depth and understanding later (if certain private actions are done and what not). In other words, my characters seem one way when you first meet them, but different when you really get to know them. Therefore, when I post the summaries of my characters, I really only tell what you first learn of them in the game (not really spoiling). I also don't tell how they get introduced into the story (except for Kylie and William, which are included in the intro story and get the main story going for Nick (the main character)). I know you haven't spent much time developing your characters yet, but it may get you thinking to type up (I usually do it in Word and then put it to the site to make sure I want it up there) some basic info about your characters, thinking of why they are the way they are (depth and understanding -> realism -> easier to relate to characters) and where else you can take each character in their personal story. Also, just simply don't post that many characters on the site (I only posted the first 7 out of 15, which all join in the first 1/4 of the game). Also, I have two characters that are alternates of each other (player gets one or the other but not both) posted on my site, but no one knows (which'll make it fun to see people's reaction to knowing a little about a character thye didn't get, which it seems like your game will have some things like this too). I also realized after a little bit it's good not to put any minor characters (in the intro story's fine) on the site because usually there's not really much to say about them. This also gets people more interested in the game's story side. Hope this helps in some way. williampaladin.tripod.com

I replied to this post in the Doan the Nado's RPG forum. Since these two topics are overlapping, I am now going to lock this thread. I am going to change the forum descriptions, and in the future, this forum (the Announcements and Suggestions forum) will be only for material regarding the message boards. Anything related to my game and its website belongs in the Doan the Nado's RPG forum.
Sorry about the changes and any confusion they cause,
Doan the Nado
