I am here! Hmmm..... I have been making cutscenes, working on my battle system, working on my menu options ( $#&%^* items!), writing out alignment formulas depending on what choices the player chooses, Smoothing out some dialogue, making VFX for magic attacks, throwing my PS2 controller at the wall out of frustration, and making items and equipment. I think I might get ready to put out a demo soon with one boss fight, full opening movie and start screen, 30% finished battle system, a mini game, a 40 % finished CMS, and a few other things.

Sounds awesome. I'd love to see what you have done with the CMS. I'm really sorry I haven't offered help with you on it yet. Let me know what you still need, and I should be able to get you some info sometime Tuesday night.

Well, all I need badly is help with items, Equip, and all the game options like Controller Vibration, text speed, etc. Other than those things, I think the CMS looks and functions well. The rest of the game seems to be falling into place for me too, which is great! I have had alot of problems lately with it, but I believe it's all over now. Hopefully I can get this thing rolling full speed now.
Thanks ,

Sorry to disappoint, but Controller Vibration is only accessible in the default menu, and it innately starts off, so (you can see in Jugem's video, right I think Jugem's) to give the player the choice you have to let him use the DMS once and tell him to choose vibration now or never to be on or off, then disable it.

Oh and tell them to change the text speed too!

id just remove controller vibration from the game entirely, and pretend they never had the ability to turn it on or off...

I just made it so that there is an option in the CMS that will turn off the No Menus flag, and end the menu script. I also did things like fading to black and putting up messages to tell the player what to do, but the key thing was turning off the flag and making it so that the player was in control again. Then, they could press X and change the default options. Once they were done with that, pressing [] would automatically bring them back to the CMS screen, and in the Enter Menu script, there was a command to turn the No Menus flag back on. It was very simple to do and allowed vibration and text speed to be changed, without making for anything too awkward in game play.

Hello guys, Sorry I haven't been to the boards lately. I have been on "vacation" since late Saturday night. I'm glad to be back, I'm going to get back to work on my game soon. I will try to incorperate the DMS features as an option in my menu like Doan does. I may change my mind though.
