Really? Maybe I'll make a randon number generator to add/subtract from the Attack Order variable of each battle paticipant. It shouldn't be too hard since all the battle scripts use trait scripts.
Strange. I'm sure I remember fighting the same enemy in different battles and having the order of attack change. The fastest character always went first, but a slower character would sometimes go before or after the enemy. Maybe the number of characters or their position in the party has some effect. This might be worth checking out.

Whoops. Sorry, I changed my website a couple of months back and didn't change the link. If you had of gone to my website (by clicking on the picture) you could have found the file on the download page. Now the link works so you can download it directly.

Was the last time you updated your demo in July? I thought you had updated it since then.

Verson 3 was released Sept. 5 and Rodak updated the file sometime since then (the date says Dec. 31, 1948 for some reason. That's Rodak for you). If you click the link under the picture you will download the newest version.

Thanks for your comments. I hope you took the time to explore around and find some of the secrets. I enjoy finding secret stuff in games, so I put a ton of special things in my game for anyone who takes the time to look around.
I'm still waiting for someone to find the magic hat.

It's Here! It's Here! Let the bells ring and the banners fly. It's here! Version 4 of my new demo is now available to download. Doan, you have my permission to put the new version on your website as well. There's lots of secrets to find this time, plus an extended dungeon, which includes a mirror event and a dark cave complex. There's still a few tweaks I'd like to make but I'll be tweaking forever if I let myself. I checked for all major bugs this time but I'm sure people will find a few minor ones. Keep me posted as you find them and I'll put out a corrected version in September before I head back to school.

Thanks, DW. I'll get it up as soon as I can, but it might not be until next week. This week is crazy for me, but everything should calm down once it's over. Also, if you would like to get a picture of your battle system or anything else in the Mag, be sure to post and let Reality know what you would like and how he can get to it. Heck, he might even be nice and make a video for you .

I'm glad to hear this. I don't know if I've ever said anything, but I've seen the video to Crown of Order before and it's very good. I can only imagine how great the demo is. I'm looking forward to playing it. Edit: And if Reality will make a video of your latest demo, that would be great!

Another good demo. See you haven't gotten too much further since the last one (not that I have any room to talk about progress , but the quality is still great. The dark room was great, and I'm curious if there is a way out of it. I also found it funny you can get in the way of people when they're going to bed. The only problem I had was all the people look like they're dying of starvation cause they're soo skinny. Just think you should widen some of them out if only 5% or so (Lavalor being the main exception). Also in the morning it looks a bit bright outside (3AM to be exact). But great job again, and the difficulty was spot on.

That you for your comments. I'm glad you enjoyed the demo.
I was plying this the settings to see how thin I could make the characters so that they still looked realistic. Maybe they are a little too thin. I'll fatten them up a bit.
Strange, I though night lasts until 7 am. I'll have to check that out.
Did you notice the weather pattern? I think you have to play awhile to get any significant changes in the weather since the weather doesn't change too dramatically from day to day.
Did you get the want and play with it? That's what I spent a lot of time on, so I hope people enjoy it as much as I did.

I'm not sure what a want is, so I'm going to assume it's a wand, and no I didn't get it, I basically just went through it, though I searched the dungeon and outside (where the beginning scene is) fairly thoroughly. I know I spent a lot of time in that black area, but I'm not sure how if I explored it all as it's hard to tell.
Yes I did notice the weather, though all I got was fog it was still really well done.
Later today I'll probably go back and look for this wand thing. Oh did you make any improvements to the waitressing minigame, just curious as I played it a while on the other demo, and didn't see a need to again this time around, as it seemed pretty complete then. I did notice the archery minigame was less choppy when moving the cursos.

About the only thing I changed in the mini-games was the ability to enter and leave with your costumes intact. This feature was broken in the last demo.
Question: At this point, Sarah changes into her apron for the waitressing mini-game. Would you like the option to have her work in one of the costumes and/or in a morphed form (al la the morph wand)? I can restore the costumes after the game is over, but I don't keep track of the morph forms (there's just too many of them).
Speaking of costumes, there are now three costumes now instead of the two that were in the last game: bunny girl, Werewolf, and frog. If anyone has any suggestions for other costumes, let me know.
Yeah, I did mean wand by the way. Darn my dyslexia.
Oh, don't bother searching the dark area as there isn't much there. I'll add a way to another level of the caves later on. but there is no other levels at this point.
P.S. later on I'll give a hint about where the wand is if no one can find it.

After waiting for so long, I finally got to play your demo. It was far more enjoyable than I expected it to be (and my expectations were already very high). I love how you make a lot of decisions in the dungeon. It sort of reminds me of the KQ series in a way. And your snake enemy scared the crap out of me (I'm walking through this dark, foggy tunnel, and out of no where, this gigantic snake jumps out). As for the wand, still haven't found it yet , but I'll keep looking.

Thank you for the comments. I wasn't sure how scary that scene would be since I knew it was coming when I tested the game. I'm glad at least one person was surprised by it. I'll give a hint now since my demo has been out for a while. The Wand is in the town somewhere while the key to the costumes is in the dungeon. Check every object and every wall. Happy hunting.

Well I think I found where the wand is, but it apparently needs a combination, which I don't remember seeing any numbers in my travels. I'm also curious if you can get into the treasure room of the Mayors office in the demo.

I was wondering if anyone who find the combination and wonder what it was for. You need to use a point and click adventure style gaming technique to get the numbers. The combination isn't too far from the chest, so work your way out from there.
No, you can't get the treasure in the mayor's office... yet. The story line to get the treasure won't happen until much later in the game.

It's the opposite for me. I've found the combination, but I have yet to find the wand. BTW, I played your Waitressing mini-game and it was very fun.

Keep searching the area. The chest with the wand isn't too hard to find if you know where to look.
I'm glad you liked my Waitressing mini-game. It took a lot of work to put it together.

I think I know where it is, but I don't know how to get there.
Are there any secret passages or something I should look out for?
