I agree with what Doan and DW said too. I tell you man, you should make a whole 'nother Zelda game with all co-op. It'd give you freedom to really/actually develop the second character. You could use Shiek, or Zelda, or Kiki, or Navi, or new characters, and make them all have different abilities and join for different dungeons. I think there's whole lot of potential here, and since you've already made such a great and hard-work-well-done Zelda system, and gained a ton of experience making good puzzles, you should make another whole Zelda game!!!! (Or at least maybe let people use your zelda system to make another Zelda game maybe , which I was think of doing after I'm done with my games - by posting up the game then giving certain people you know you can trust the password)

I wish I knew who Kiki and Navi were lol....
I might give the password out later after my games been out for a long time and most people who have it have beaten it and stuff. But who knows...

I wish I knew who Kiki and Navi were lol.... I believe Kiki is the monkey that shows up in Link's Awakening (you give him some bananas and he builds you a bridge), and Navi is the fairy in Ocarina of Time. In response to the discussion about your vs mode in the other topic, I seem to hold the opposite view. I actually didn't care for the idea of vs mode unlocking items to use in the main game. I just think the main game should remain the main game, and that there shouldn't be any extra items in there if you play another mode. However, I think the vs mode itself could be fun (against the cpu, not with another human player -- although that might be fun as well). But the big draw is obviously the main game.

I think Kiki is also on Link to the Past, where you have to give him 10 rupees to follow you, make it to the first dungeon in the dark world without getting hit, (he'll get scared and run) and then pay 100 rupees to hit a switch. he sais kiki kiki kiki alot, and i recall i think i heard him say he was kiki. (I got to the Water temple in OoT in less than 3 hours, a new record for me!)

I've started to work on the wind dungeon. I might finish it today, but who knows? Since there will be 3 different bosses in the wind dungeon... This will depend on if you have the dragon or the turtle or if you've linked and have both. I also have to run back and make the first dungeon boss different. I also would like to complete the first four or five Co-Op missions.

I made 3 status effects today.
Frozen: Ever step you take your halted for a second and it's a pain in the ***, it eventually where's off, it takes a variable number of steps depending on what was frozen.
Burnt: You may randomly while walking be hurt damage, or you can randomly be healed from it.
Poisoned: Every 5 steps you lose 1 heart. It wears off fast, but is truly dependent on what poisons you.
There will be enemies and world elements that give you these effects. It adds some flavor to the game and I made it so when you die, you can hit square or move to get out of it. I have the wind dungeon well on it's way. Floors cause you to float if a flag is on etc... it's pretty cool!

Sounds like it's coming along well. This could be a great candidate for the Pavilion's contest #3. Good luck!

Yeah I want to make it for the third contest. There's a lot left I have to do. But I think I can manage. Biggest challenge right now will be to get the co-op mode going. Once I have that, most the rest of the scripts are just time consuming over challenging. The only other one(s) that might take some time would be the magnet glove attract/repel. I'm thinking the rest of it is allgood but then again I might think of a brand new weapon or idea, or anything else to add to the game, which of course I will inform you all of.
Happy Programming everyone ;D

I just got the co-op going with 100% proficiency!!!! No errors what so ever! It's not overly challenging right away and yet a fun new way to think about puzzles. In the first mission you have to walk on top of your partner (Shiek) a lot. I hope to catch the Co-op missions up to the dungeon I'm at, I have all the cool extra items already picked out and most of them already are made! So the first mission co-op is about done and it's pretty cool!

If you think of anything you would like to see in my game, just say. I'ld like to know what enemies should give you what status effects ya think. Burnt, Poisoned, Frozen I'm thinking that the slimes can poison, the fire floors and lava will burn you and the ice dungeon I'll add things that freeze you. Also maybe have the ghosts freeze you! Also some things will poison you in the plant dungeon I'll add. What you guys think?

That sounds good. You have realistic ideas and your effects sound like they are well thought out. I'm excited to see your co-op system!

No the characters won't be able to go in lava even unless they have the lava suit, but they get too clase and now they're burnt....not on fire. Burnt from the scortching heat! :-) We'll see what happens....or how about after you lower the lava level you have to wait so long to go on the floor it uncovers or else it burns you? That sounds good to me...
Well today I hope to work on the display screen, First dungeon boss, the 3 6th dungeon bosses, and the Co-op missions for the stuff thus far. Also I need to put the ghost sword hidden in the game early on. So when your playing the final game, stuff may be moved and new treasures and hidden areas etc...

Okay did some adding and changing today. The slimes now poison you, and don't do any direct damage. The ghosts damage you still and also put a 2 step freeze on you. I did the aqua co-op mission, it gave me massive troubles. I had to resort to using no-visible water. I'm moving on to the Plant Co-op mission right now. Basically a lot of floors that fall and stuff. Then I'll do the ice co-op mission which will be fun, because the ice-sliding will be there, but using your other character as a blcok and things will help greatly in solving along with sliding blocks and things too. If I'm lucky I'll have no problems with that and will ba able to do the Wind Co-op. I haven't even finished the real Wind dungeon but I'll do the co-op first, then finish what I have left in the real one.
I'm sure I'll post later today on what I've got done yet again so "Stay Tuned" ;D
Edit1: Okay I completed the Plant Co-Op. I think the Ice one will be tricky. I'll start that a bit later. The plant mission is kinda frustrating with all the floors that fall. Well deal with it!!!, it's not soo bad....there is a slight hue difference in the blocks so you sorta can tell. Also you get the poison sword for it so ;D

Okay, I just added the Ice Co-Op mission! And actually is very cool and somewhat challenging. Took a few weird scripts but it runs well. Since you slide on ice, the events for other characters and things have to slide to with you and things so yeah...
I'm gunna work on finishing the wind-dungeon now. The bosses will be the hard part considering there will be 3 different ones, depending on choices you've made in the game. Then I have to re-make the first dungeon boss and then the co-op mission for the wind dungeon. We'll see how far I get to day. should be able to get it done, but I may slack off and even play some PS2 Online so who knows...
Edit1- Okay I finished one of the bosses for the Wind dungeon, very fast moving hard battle! On to the second and third one!
Edit2- Now I've finished the 2nd boss! Pretty tough again, this boss can even heal himself!!!

Everything sounds great! Your lava idea seems pretty solid, and I'm glad to hear that you're getting closer and closer to completion with your game. Good luck with everything you have left.

I've been somewhat neglecting my game.... sorry. Nobodies been yelling at me about it so yeah...and well we're all just getting off vacation and stuff. I have to finish the third boss in the "Wind Dungeon", I'm throwing around some cool ideas for what it'll be like. I also have to go change the first dungeon boss. I hope to do that sometime soon...I've been and still am very busy though. I also want to make a beginning scene and custom music and lots more so I've got my work cut out for me.

I finished the last wind dungeon boss. I then made the path and entrance to Lava/fire dungeon. I have to make the Wind Co-op level, 1st boss remake, and then go to the Lava Dungeon... We'll see if I get to that today. I want to play some socom2 online so...

Your game sounds really good. I've never really been a fan of the Zelda games. (I've only played Wind Waker, which was good) But your game sounds like something I could see myself having a lot of fun playing. Once its done I'll be sure to play it. Good luck with the project.

I finished the new level one dungeon boss. It's actually two characters running around. One you want to hit one you don't. I still have the fire and ice beams coming from the wall. I also added Ves into the game. He gives you a hint on how to get the level 2 sword and how to get to the wind dungeon. I have to make the wind co-op and lava dungeon next. ;D
