I think I'd rather see the finished product, personally. I mean, you can put out a demo if you want, but I've basically seen a lot of the unique elements that you have in your game, so to play a demo now would almost be a waste of time (in my opinion) if I'm going to have to just start all over when the game is complete.

That's what I've been thinking the whole time Doan. Hence me being reluctant to release another previously. But your save of my game should still work even though the games changed because the title is the same and the area where you saved still exists so I'm pretty sure it will work. I really want to just release another demo to get people's input on the versus mode since no-one besides me has seen it. This also gives me a chance to work on more of the guide sooner if you can get me more screens that is. I may put one up just with the versus mode unlocked then or something... Oh and Ves what does "but i dont have a ftd" mean?
Well okay here comes the update part. I've been playing my game for quite a few hours today and have progressed very well. I'm almost done with the Lava Dungeon! I just have to make a switch staircase and then the boss battle and I'm done. The lava dungeon is really cool I think. A few puzzles that you need to keep your mind open on. I so want to tell everyone everything but I'm holding myself back to save the surprise and challenge for when you each have a go at it. :-)
I so hope I don't have school tomorrow. It's actually possible I could pretty much finish my game tomorrow if I had all day, other then a few things extra I need to do like custom music etc... All I have left after finishing the Lava Boss, is two more dungeons and a password game bonus dungeon with a very Familiar but hard Zelda boss. ;D After that I just have to add a beginning sequence (not for sure yet) and with the beginning sequence the zelda theme song. Then credits and WAHLA!! So close I am....

"But your save of my game should still work even though the games changed because the title is the same and the area where you saved still exists so I'm pretty sure it will work."
It most likely will not. The infinite file trick from RPGM1 revolved around this concept: making the last place in one part the first in another and naming each the same. However, this trick only works with RPGM2 saves if the last save on each file is at the exact same time on each. This is possible to do by reseting the PS2's internal clock, but would be one hell of a bitch in the ass to do. (just thought I'd add that)
ftd stands for file transfer device most likely.
And, very cool, I am looking forward to it. I'll be playing the latest demo sometime soon (when I put up my demo), so I will at last really know what all the stuff is like.
Also, bare in mind it's better to fill up whatever towns you have with more townspeople to talk to, as well. This isn't hard or long to do but will most likely improve the feel of the game, and give the player something else to do, and a way of getting advice and such for stuff.

Ok I finished the Lava Dungeon...so what's next? The mayor's mansion :-) The boss of the Lava dungeon isn't as hard as I thought he would be, he's pretty easy if you know how to hurt him. I may make him harder by adding a chasing bomb, but the last two bosses had those with them so idk.

Cool, make sure you get the "Newest" version of the demo! Okay another quick update. I just started on the Mansion Dungeon a little while ago and WOW it's gunna be one of the funnest dungeons I made I think. I'm just really anjoying making it. I have floors of 2 different colors, and one will be high while the other is low till you press a switch. Also you'll get the Nat hat to go small in this dungeon which will be cool. Especially when you enter the large section of the level. Everything will be huge compared to you!

Alright I'm done with the "Mansion" except for the boss. Which the boss battle will just be a bunch of non-stop enemies that the mayor sends out :-) The nat hat is cool in the level. You actually get to use it twice in a row at this one spot so you become SUPER SUPER tiny. I'm thinking about utilizing the nat hat in the battle some how...we'll see.
I'm starting a progress sheet for what I have left to do (I got to cross a few out already)
Boomerang/magicrang optional switch Add checkpoints before each boss but cancel saving in dungeons co-op wind co-op lava co-op mansion mansion boss ~magnet gloves ~monster suit ~cane of somaria/ boxes that utilize it Monster Faction/town Monster Faction Boss co-op faction Link codes Bonus dungeon Bonus Boss Beginning scene Custom Music (maybe) Add more monsters everywhere Add more people in town for fun Add some minigames
After I cross out all those I'll be done. Some of these things will take 5 minutes only like the boomerang option while others will take hours like the monster faction.

If you got it recently from the Pav. then you have the newer one. If you did it oh 4 weeks ago you have the old one. Oh and btw how far are you into the game? Beat it?

Well I made some progress today. I finished the Mansion Boss, it's a whole lot of enemies one after another, being that you don't actually fight the mayor. I also finished the last piece of the World map. SO I am DONE with It!!! ;D I also fixed the save-ing checkpoint things. You no-longer can save in dungeons except at the boss where you can also mark it as a check-point so you don't have to save, which takes forever. Also you can make a checkpoint anywhere not in the dungeons so continueing is a lot faster/easier. I'm on the LAST of the major 8 dungeons! So with that I have a few more things off the list.
Boomerang/magicrang optional switch co-op wind co-op lava co-op mansion ~magnet gloves ~monster suit ~cane of somaria/ boxes that utilize it Monster Faction Monster Faction Boss co-op faction Link codes Bonus dungeon Bonus Boss Beginning scene Custom Music (maybe) Add more monsters everywhere Add more people in town for fun Add some minigames

To be honest I don't really know but I had this one minigame I made way back when with only visual effects and it was awesome! Very challenging puzzle game except it took 27visual effects, but really not that much scripting. I also made a slot machine mini-game I'ld like to redo. I think that one took 18 visuals. And when you pressed the button it would stop a reel until you stopped all of them. It was pretty fun. I'm sure I'll come up with more though and hey maybe even some bonus items/weapons to help out in the game!

Another day, and a few more things off the list! Here's what's off: ~monster suit ~cane of somaria/ boxes that utilize it ~Last heart piece you can get in the game! Majority of monster faction is done!
The monster faction is coming along nicely. I need to make the magnet gloves to finish the next two rooms and then the FINAL main boss! Mwhahahaha I feel so close. I also need to catch up with the co-op missions too so we'll see what happens first.
Here's what's still on: Boomerang/magicrang optional switch co-op wind co-op lava co-op mansion ~magnet gloves Monster Faction (almost finished!) Monster Faction Boss co-op faction Link codes Bonus dungeon Bonus Boss Beginning scene Custom Music (maybe) Add more monsters everywhere Add more people in town for fun Add some minigames

Which reminds me doan, are you going to be available within at the very least another week to test play my game and take screens for the demo?
I'ld like your review/comments/etc... and fix what I need before I release the final version. Really after finishing just a few more things off the list I can end my game anytime. All I'll be doing is adding minigames/townspeople/enemies and those are just extra. And I'm thinking maybe a few extra co-op missions.
After finishing I'll take a slight break. Then my next game, which I was thinking it to be Mana Craft but now Idk. I think I'll keep quiet about it for a little while then release a demo (so I have something to show) and get your comments. I also would like to create a very short game like a board game and put that out there just for something fun to do!
