Okay I'm NOT going to reveal all the secrets and stuff but I will explain a few of the items that are in the game that aren't secret but I wanted to tell you guys about.
***Spoilers will begin below i guess**
Everytime you beat a new dungeon in the game you'll unlock a Co-op 2 player level. If you beat it you will get a new item. Here's what they are and what they do: (all names subject to be renamed) Grave-Slide gloves: can walk sideways with blocks instead of just pushing and pulling. Aqua-TrumpetofStorms: This clears the weather and screen effects, henceforth you get this befor ethe plant dungeon so that plant room for the slingshot will be way easier. Plant-Poisonsword: basically very helpful in vs mode to poison opp. but also does effects to things in game. Ice-Roc's Feather: can jump some gaps in areas Wind-Wind Sword: majorly blows enemy back after attack Lava-Big Goron's Sword: Huge swinging sword attack the 3 spaces right in front of you Mansion-BigGoron'sHat: Makes you big, opposite of nat hat Monster-Master Key: unlocks bonus dungeon in game
There will be some items in the 1player vs cpu mode too Fire sword-can burn plants Ghost sword- instantly kill ghosts Wind Aura?(not sure yet) blows all surrounding things away from you...
Q's or suggestions always welcome....

Sounds like a good plan for vs bonus items. My only "criticism" is to be careful with some of the more influential items. You don't want to affect game play in a way you didn't predict that causes unwanted results. In other words, if an item like Roc's Feather allowed you to jump to an area you are not supposed to go yet, or at all, it could cause a bug in your game.
But all in all, good ideas, and good luck.

2 players, is it going to be like a co op, or do you verse each other. like, is it going to be like FFT, you move, then the second player moves, then the enemies, and you go through actual dungeons two player style? That would be cool...

programming it to where you go through dungeons co op would be fairly difficult.

There will be 3 vs modes
p1 VS p2 :battle your friend to the end P1 vs cpu :play the computer Co-op : take turns controlling to characters to solve the puzzles. One character may be trapped on one side while another on the other. Push a block from one way. Then push it with the other character from the other side etc... Just co-op puzzles to get to the treasure chest and henceforth get a new item.

Yes the co-op items will all be for the normal mode too. It will be like everytime you complete a dungeon you just hit square start...Go to vs co-op and unlock a new item then go back and continue your story game. Also the vs cpu mode will unlock cool items like the ghost sword! Instantly killing ghosts would be soooo helpful in the first dungeon! As that mission will be the only vs cpu one from the start. And others will unlock as you progress through the dungeons. Now as for your co-op for one player...well that's basically what it will be! You can either alternate controllers for each character with your friend or do it by your lonesome. Oh and were you implying that I don't have an adequate vocabulary? I do a lot of writing and I"m one of those people whose an "A" student and uses big words and half the people in the room are like "huh?".

Oh, no, I didn't mean it that way. I was just trying to help since you were having trouble naming the Wind Aura thing. Sorry if I offended you any; I didn't mean to.
Also, naming the sword that kills ghosts in one hit the ghost sword kind of doesn't make sense. Possibly like some light/holy word like Holy, Divine, Photon, etc. or Ghost Killer. Gl

in my opinion, its a sign of poor (and possibly improper) word usage and grammer if your sentences do not convey the meaning of the word to those who dont already know it.

Oh also the ghost sword has one thing to it, if you kill a ghost it wont change into an item.... But the swords are all awesome, I have to make a place to get them all now. (VS mode most of them)

So, you don't get new tools in the dungeons? Just in Co-op mode? Sorry to bring this topic back up after so long.

both. i believe there are items for fun that you unlock in vs, while you get key items in 'in game' dungeons.

Doyle's right, you get items to progress through game in dungeons and you get co-op items just to make the experience easier and more fun. However the very last final dungeon requires all co-op levels to be completed.
