To reveal a bit more about my new project, don't expect anything original. Well, it's original compared to what's been done (or hasn't been done) with RPGM2. But's it's basically a version of a popular PC/arcade/console game. I was going to add original elements to it, and make it different, but seeing as how it's been a few months since I've last worked on it, I may just release it as is. It's meant to be more of a tech demo, showing that RPGM2 can be used for completely 2D games, and I don't think anyone else has done anything like this on RPGM2. So hopefully, in that respect, you'll enjoy it.
I'd still like to finish off a couple things to complete the demo, so I'm probably looking at about a week to get it ready. One question though... I'd need to send my memory card to someone who can put it online, and preferably to someone who can send it back to me with other games/demos on it. So, any takers? Doan, have you come back yet? Ves? Anybody else?
After this, I would like to start working on an actual rpg, with a custom battle system. Now that I've got some more time again, I think now is as good as any time to undertake such a project. So once I start that, I'll give out some more info (if I feel so inclined .
Well, this game is just about finished now. And I will be having a contest relating to this game...with prizes. Complete details regarding the game and this contest will be revealed on Wednesday hopefully, so make sure to check back then. And by the way, Valkysas has offered to put it online, so that's been taken care of.
Hey, you're back! Have you returned for good? Wonder if one of your games is the same as mine... Well, I'll spill the beans a little early.
The game I've been working on is Tetris. The game will feature a password system that will give you a password corresponding to your score. When the game is released, I will start a high scores thread. Then people can pm me their password (with their score), and after checking the password, I'll post the score in the high score list. There will be rankings for both high score and best line counts.
The contest I mentioned will start when the game is released, and will end a few months after. Probably November 31st, or maybe the end of the year. Exact details will be posted before the game is out. The top scorer and the person with the best line count by the end of the contest will get prizes, of which I haven't quite decided yet.
