guys i'm stuck with my game, i was doing great after the treasure chest incident up until ...well i'll skip the explanation and get right to the point.
after opening the treasure chest i had it trapped and it inflicted the player with 9999 damage (well not really, the text box just says it does, it was just part of the story so he didnt really die it just looks like he dies)
basically it says this after you open the chest:
:<player name> is hit with 9999 damage. (sound effect)(controller rumble)
:<player name> was defeated.
:screen fade out to black, and defeat background music
***this next part is my problem***
:this part is supposed to warp the player to another map (under dungeon editor, but if it'd be easier under any other map creator to do this i can use them too) which is supposed to be the players bedroom.
:this part is supposed to start playing his bedrooms background music
:this part is supposed to make the screen fade back in from black showing the character has changed areas
:this part and everything afterward is a short cutscene
everything below the "***"'s is a problem because the 3 ways to move the player to the other map (warp, teleport, and location move) do not prove useful for my needs. most, if not all 3 of them make the game ignore any script after warping the player which makes the fade in from black all but impossible.
and then theres the problem of the cutscene once i fix the fade in.
i can GET the player to the map, but thats where i'm stumped because all the effects that happen afterward are ignored and i need them to not be.
how can i pull this off? please give me the most simple, easy to understand step by step instructions possible if you can, that'd be most appreciated, thanks. ^^
