Just checked this game out on Amazon (thinking of what to put on my Christmas List). Apparently, it's a remake of the original FF Tactics on PS1. I never got a chance to play this and since I'm asking for a PSP, it might not hurt to put this on my list as well (reduced price from the original, anyway).
So, anyone have this game (The PSP version) and play the original. Any differences between the games?

I have the original but not the remake. I heard that one difference is that two new generic-soldier classes were added for the remake and that they did a touch up on the translation (which was mediocure in the original). If you haven't played the original, I'd definitely recommend playing either the original or the remake (either will probably be worth it).

This game is great! I was afraid it would be a lot like FF Tactics Advanced (which was kind of mediocre), but I was wrong. There's so much strategy and planning that goes into this game and it feels so rewarding. The battles are very challenging and require you to really think over what you want to do. The Class System is incredibly in-depth and requires some forethought to be put into it to make really affective units. And I'm finding the story to be pretty interesting. Overall, this is a great game.

In the original FFT, I'd grind to make lancers. The entire game was pretty much smooth sailing from there.
Temporary invincibility + high damage FTW. ^_^
