Yeah, I did. I don't really aspire to be a songwriter or anything, but I wrote a song last night. Here it is, complete with my crappy singing and guitar playing: It's called "It's Time to Move Along" and it's in the key of E minor (I think). Edit: Dang, you have to be my facebook friend to see it. I think some of you are, but if not feel free to add me (Brandon Mintern) and let me know that you're a Domain member in case I don't recognize your name.Re-Edit: I tracked down some ProBoards code. It is now possible to embed any video on the Domain. So I replaced the Facebook link with the embedded video

Sounds very good Doan. Just a question. If you don't want to answer that is fine. Is the song a reflection of something going on in your life?

The 2nd and 3rd verses are pretty accurate. The rest is kind of a mix of how I was feeling, making stuff that rhymed, and artistic license. So when I say "So many things are wrong," sure there are a lot of things wrong, but there are also a lot of good things, too. And when I say "I hope it's not too late / To change the road I'm on," I'm actually not afraid of that at all.
So yeah, in a sense it's personally reflective, but it's not actually as bad as the song might seem. The general idea though, that I'm not living the way I want and think it's time to make a change, is pretty spot-on. In particular, one of my favorite lines is, "These aren't the dreams I had." I think it's important to step back sometimes and truthfully look at your life and ask yourself if it's going in a direction that you like. And if not, why not change it?
But hey, I'm 25! I wouldn't worry about anything like this if you're only a few years out of high school or younger.

Well it is a very good song. I like the message that you are trying to convey.
