I have decided to to make a map demo game for rpgm3. Once finish I'll upload the demo and you can use the maps for your game. Also please leave comments on what you think of them. Here is the link for the pics. www.rpgmmag.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=8831

I have to agree with everyone in that thread who said those pictures look amazing.

Those are wonderful. I take pride in my town maps, but I can't map a field to save a life. That wasteland is delightfully creepy. As much as this community rejected RPGM3 when it came out five whole years ago (!), the more I play around with it the more it grows on me. And mapping is definitely one of the best parts.
Keep up the good work!

Thanks guys. I really do like rpgm3. The only think I don't like about the field editor is that you can't map in real time like rpgm2. The mountain map took me about 3 days to do and that doesn't include the other events on the map.

RPG Maker 3 is nice 'n' easy but too stiff . No argument there. However, with a little creativity, you can do some fun things. The biggest reason to use it, however, is to exploit the graphical capabilities. You can make some beautiful maps, towns, and even dungeons if you put enough into them. I've never really had a problem with RPGM2's graphics, but I never really took to making custom VFX and other cool things until very recently. Even still, my maps and graphical features are fairly weak. Plus RPGM2 makes it very difficult to make a serious plotline with its happy little sprites. You just kinda have to go with it. Even still, RPGM2 will always be my favorite. It's just that I accept RPGM3 much more now, especially after seeing such beautiful map work. We need TFR back. -the smurf

Well each have there own strengths and weaknesses. I like RPGM3 for the awesome graphics and RPGM2 for its flexiability.

Well have started on the dry river bed map. Got part of the main route done, two off shoots, and a dry lake bed. For the most part the player runs inside of the dry river bed. There is one section where they can move up and out of the river bed. But there isn't going to be much to see up there.
A quick question. In the description section in the editors do you guys want suggestions as to what the areas can be used for? For examply why the player might want to go in the river bed or what other areas they could be?

You can create an haunted tower with the dungeon editor.

I'll try, but i have already made a haunted town so I'll have to see how I can make the tower be different then the town.

I can't get over how every single time I see a new RPGM3 map there's something innovative that I've never thought of before. I've never really used decorative objects in fields, but now I see how effective they can be. All I can think of with that beach is the giant statue of Tawaret on the beach on LOST. Seriously, keep up the good work, and keep coming up with innovative ways to use the maps. This is great stuff.
