Yeah, I know it seems like one of us makes a thread like this when there hasn't been any activity in a while, but I'm just wondering if anyone checks up on here from time to time? My little brother has been fooling around with RPG Maker 2 a lot lately and I've been thinking a lot about getting back into game making lately (at least as just a hobby on the side). It be cool if we could all try to at least post once at least every day or week to keep this place running. I'd really hate to see this place permanently die.

Sadly I don't think so. I myself have migrated to RPGM Mag forums they are still relatively active with RPGM2 as well, as a matter of fact the Pav and Mag have been pretty darn active with RPGM2 lately. I still pop on here every once in a blue moon. But I don't honestly think anyone does anymore, it sucks but I think this site is more an archive now

Yeah, it is more of an archive. There is a TON of useful information here for anyone who is making games with RPG Maker 2.
I have a few websites I'd like to get up and running. I want to create a message board that is tied to a personal blog. TheFinalRune mentioned that doanthenado.com should be reborn as a site for us and others to just hang out and talk about anything, and I agree.
I'll make sure to email the more active members once I get that up and running.

I still check up on this place every so often. I also play around with RPG Maker from time to time. I'm hoping at some point over this summer to do a "developer's commentary" type of thing with A Light in the Sky, but I don't know if I have an adequate video capture device. So yeah, that's my big project idea.
I would like to help try to keep this place active, but a lot of times I don't have anything to contribute. Meh. I'm definitely interested in whatever it is you've got planned, Doan.

[white]I don't even come by nearly as much as I used to. Though I try to remember to check in at least once a month to see if anything has been posted, but even that seems hard to keep up with these days. I've been so immersed in playing other games that I haven't even touched RPGMs in months. A new hub would be interesting. Lately I've been meandering around the web trying to find a new hang out, but its hard.
I used to be an avid poster in the myspace forums, sadly enough, and it was a fun place with neat peers, but after myspace decided to suicide bomb itself the place sort of feel apart. I've never really actively been so into a game the way I was with RPGMs that its hard to find a new game board worth my time or interest. The Elder Scrolls boards are moderately interesting, but they're no designed very well for searching for information regarding modding. And just modding isn't really enough for us creative types.
Without a doubt, this place is the single greatest library of RPGM2 knowledge on the web (well, in English at least). Hopefully this place will remain still for years to come, even if the posts trickle down to even less than they are now.[/white]

Hi. I'm still alive. I've moved to California, and I feel like my entire life has changed. I promised a lot of things in the past, and this time I'd like to come through. The expiration for doanthenado.com is coming up soon, and I plan to renew it for 10 more years. Here's to the best community I've ever been a part of!

Glad to see you, Doan, and it's great to hear that you plan to renew doanthenado.com! You know, every so often I like to tinker around with some project or another. I worked on FBOP for quite a long time over the summer, and got a lot of stuff built - brought a bunch of the playable characters into the story, added new towns, dungeons, et cetera, and then bam, no more inspiration. I hate it when that happens. But then, I decided to do a new RPGM2 project and started to build that up. And then the inspiration stopped once school started and I haven't gone back since. Still, I do enjoy working on the games and I'm sure that in about 20 years I'll have something finished. For the record, Draygone was in the process of doing Let's Plays of A Light in the Sky. He got through about 5 episodes, then switched over to a demo on RPGMVX and plans to go back to my game afterward. Here's the link to the Youtube playlist of the game's episodes. Don't think of this as a substitute for playing it, though! Anyway, the level of inactivity on here is a bit depressing, but it's great to see new posts. I know I've been at work on RPGM stuff with the exception of the past month - it just takes so damn long to finish a project! Blah blah blah anyway yeah. Words. Contribution. Your turn! Good to hear from you, TFR! Been a while! -the smurf

Just came to say that I'm still alive!!! Man, i have fond memories of this place, I never would have gotten anywhere in rpgm2 without you awesome dudes. Ive since gone on to game maker, current version 8.1. Im actually getting pretty good at it, its as deep as you want it to be. Ive got to say that the programming logic of rm2 certainly did help me to pick up the mechanics of gamemaker. Im programming entirely in gml now. Something I never thought id be able to do.
I spent so much time here back in the day. Such sweet memories
The knowledge contained in this place is immense. You damn genius'

Currently living in New Mexico as a generator mechanic in the Airforce. Not a bad gig.
Going back and reading old topics, kind of enlightening how creative I used to be. Nowadays I'm doing silly things on youtube in my spare time, but I wouldn't mind giving Game Maker a go one of these days.
Spent a good majority of my teenage life here, that is so crazy to think about. Hope everyone is doing well.
