Well if you haven't gotten too far I would just write down what you've done, and start a new game on easy then goto hard right after and put in what you've done it would be shorter. It's always a good idea to start with easy, cause a lot of the premade scripts are good, and pretty much all of them are helpful to learning except the text display ones. But if that is too hard, or too tedious, look at this inside the zip on the first post is the advanced FAQ which has all the premade scripts typed out for your viewing pleasure. I have this printed out my self as I like working with printouts than reading from the screen. It has helped a lot to get things organized and figure out things. Also it has a good description of all the variables and flags and the Direct and Indirect effect editors. For your script if you either post more specifics here or PM your scripts I'll take a look at them. It would also be nice to know where the scripts are called from and if there are any auto events on the map in question.

There's your problem right there. The Warp command ends all events and moves the party to a new area. You need to start your cut scene when the party enters the area instead of with the called script. The best way to do this is with an enter map script. See Game Start 1 for an example. Note that the event has two pages so that the event will only run once. To Map/ Facing is the default enter Map script.
If you find it easier, you can also use an Auto Event to start the cut scene.

Well, that explains why it always worked before I moved the title screen... Well, that helps a lot. However, the character doesn't actually enter the area, I would like it to fade in on him. But for some reason, I cannot get the fade in script to work. Also, as for using it as an auto event, I want to make it so that you can enter the area again after the opening sequence. Wouldn't setting the event as auto make the scene run every time the area was entered?

Not if you set up a condition on the page of the event that is auto. So set a flag in your scene when it finished then in the page condition check for that flag to be off.
As for fading in, you should just be able to use the Screen Display -> Screen Effects -> Color and set all panels to black. When you enter the map make this have a transperency of 0, and then to fade in call this command again but with a transparancy of 100 and give it a time of about 30 to 60 frames so it will take about 1 to 2 seconds to fade in (1 sec = 30F).

That's what I did. It just simply doesn't do it. Good idea on the flag thing, though

The Enter Map scripts (3 and 270) both use the fade-in trick. You might want to look at them to see if you are doing anything different.
Note: The problem with using Auto Events is that they play in the order they are placed on the map and one must finish before the next one starts. Once all Auto Events are done, then Action Scripts can run. However, the Enter Map script always runs first, and allows you to use Fade-in without the screen appearing and disappearing again (this is caused by the Enter Map finishing and making the screen appear before any events can run).

You think you could post part of the script, mainly the beginning, to the point where you want the fade in to happen.
Are you sure you can have more than one auto event, I was under the impression you can't though the one I was using used flags so that might have been why.

Dude, you have to start over on Beg or Nrm; I doubt you'll get anywhere if you don't. The truth is that what you've already made probably sucks because it's the first stuff you made with rpgm2, and what you've done so far is probably about .1% of your total time spent working on RPGM2 to complete your game. We faced the exact same thing already at some point, and believe us when we say that Beg/Nrm is the way to go.

Yes, you can have more then one, but as I said: 1) the first one you place will run when the party enters the map and 2) the first one must stop before the next one takes place, and so on.
It is better to never use more then one on a map as they also interfere with Action scripts and VFX. Using an Enter Map and Auto Event event together is all you need for more complex cut-scenes. An enter map one alone is all you'll need in most cases.

I'm not going to start over, I have too much done already. And it's not like I'm lost completely, I just need some help here and there. Sure, I post a lot of stuff about scripts not working, but I wouldn't come to a help forum to tell you about all the ones that do I got a Max Drive today.
