[white]You can make sliding doors by either using the door object, or any object really, or a building editor model. Make the object or model an event and set the apply script to activate on examine.
In the apply script you would set the event: bypass objects: ON the move it to the side 1 or 2 steps (depending on its size).
Sorry, I don't really recall the exact script terms anymore.[/white]

Try this:
1)Event control: Change to <sliding door event> (Necessary only if the trigger isn't the door) 2Event movement: Bypass objects=yes 3)Sound:SFX=breath. (This will give a Star Trek 'swoosh' sound to the door-or pick an sfx you like better. ) 4)Event movement:Direction move(N,S,E,W-depending on door orientation) X steps, speed Y.* 5)Event transparency=100% (This will keep parts of the door from showing through the wall-it may not be necessary, so this is optional.) *If the door is one block wide, X=1, If two blocks, X=2 etc. Y determines how fast the door moves. Try this: Y=0 door move will be instantaneous. Y=10 door will move swiftly, Y=20 door will move aside in about one second. Y=100 door will grind slowly open.

A sliding door would be to move the event to the side without changing its direction. Should be simple enough to make. You might want it to bypass objects though.
Yes, everyting is indeed possible. I made those crazy bubble doors from Metroid that you zap and they open.
First you take the bubble object and make it big, blue, and semi transparent. Then when you bump into it, you make it smaller till it disappears. Finally you need it to bypass members, but your character per step indirect effect needs to reset it after 2 steps so its big again.
