Anyone planning on, have done, doing a re-creation of any games, wheather a recreation of an RPGM1 game or an actual game? I recreated Zelda: Seasons on RPGM1 back in the day and it was awesome other than the fact there wasn't any real battle system. I'm thinking about doing it again with RPGM2! After I finish my current Zelda Game of course, but I kinda would like to stray to my own game... I have lots of good ideas...

I think it's a lot more fun to make your own game. My favorite part of game creation is coming up with the story and characters. With your battle system already done, another Zelda-esque game would be much easier for you (this time around) to make. Possibly you could make new tools not in other Zelda games and new characters and stories. Back in the day of RPGM1 I (didn't finish) made a Zelda RPG (RPG battles) with Link, Navi, Kiki, and Zelda as party members, but also 6 or so new characters I made too. It was quite fun making new characters in the Zelda world.

I tried making Gobli for RPG Maker 2. I haven't worked on it in the longest time, nor was it very far along (I got the character models down and a few places; the hardest to remake being the forest areas), but it's still on my memory card.
There's nothing wrong with remaking an old game, actually. It's a nice challenge to see if you can create something as good as, if not better than, the original version. Sometimes it's easier to do than others. I mean, just about anybody can remake the first Final Fantasy with an improved storyline.
