since i've gone soft I've forgotten how to make a condition event that dosen't involve items or partymembers... I can't do one's with flags because when I put in the begging of a script I put flag 261 is on and at the end put 261 is off. Then I set the event to say do this if 261 is on and it dosen't work. But I don't know why cuz I set it so that it is on... Please help...

I can see two possible problems. One is that you're turning the flag off somewhere else. If that's not the problem, then it probably has to do with how you're trying to get the event to do something.
I would guess you're using the page conditions to check whether the flag is on? This won't always work like you'd want it to. If the flag is turned on in an action script, then the event's page conditions won't be checked. They are only checked after content scripts have finished executing. And even then I'm unsure of exactly when they are checked (it's been awhile since I've used event page conditions).
One possible solution is to have an action script with the first few lines being a repeat loop. So have this repeat loop repeat while the flag is on. When the flag is off, the repeat loop will finish executing, so that the rest of the script can be carried out.
If you're still having problems and/or I misunderstood your question, feel free to ask for further help.
