I'm guessing too many VFX at once, but I'm not the best authority on the subject.

I'm guessing too many VFX at once, but I'm not the best authority on the subject. I've never had the game freeze by using too many VFX at once, and I use quite a lot of VFX. Well, except when I forget to use Apply Together before displaying the VFX. I have had the game freeze (and this time being unable to exit the test play) from deleting an event with more than one VFX running/being displayed on it.

Yeah, I got it fixed for the most part. The cause wasn't VFX, I don't use many of them, other than attack animations. I was calling a script from a called script from a called script from a script. Plus, there were about two sets of these types trying to run nearly at the same time. I cleaned up and compacted scripts together, now everything is fine. I had a bad technique with script writing, and I think I learned from it. I just posted to maybe help me figure out exactly what was causing the crashes, but I figured it out soon after. Thanks for the willingness to help me anyway. I appreciate it.
EDIT: Does anyone know how to show stats in a CMS without using a message box?

I'll be helping you out with your CMS stuff really soon, I promise. Either tomorrow or Wednesday. I'm sorry it's taken longer than I had initially planned, but I expected to get a lot done on my off-day last Thursday, and I didn't. I'll be copying some of my CMS scripts tomorrow so that I can share them.

Oh, it's okay. I wasn't pissed or anything, I understand. A couple days ago, I started to work on the things I think I can do myself, like stats. I got it working, it's just that the stats are displayed in a message box. I was wondering if there is another way to show them, or will I be limited to using the message box? I have an idea that involves the same principles of your CMS main, only this menu "page" will display the rest of the stats, and maybe some other stuff. When the player chooses the stat info on the main page, the member list will appear. When they choose a member, it will warp them to the second page with the character's model, and the rest of the stats beside it. when they choose to exit, it warps them back to the first page. Will this work? I am wondering if the escape is still there for them to warp back to the play map....If this is possible, I will try to get it working.
EDIT: The warp from the main menu will not be a teleport then to exit an escape teleport, it will be regular warps between the two pages.

That will work just fine. The only time your escape goes away is when you set a new escape. I planned on having two-digit stats, so I was going to an idea like what you said, and display each stat in the same way that the "Level" information is displayed (turning on that flag and formatting the six-digit variable in the same way). If you want to use 3-digit stats, use the last 3 digits of the HP/MP displays (the part that shows the max amount) to display each stat.
Just create events for each stat: Strength, Agility, and so on. Then place them however you want them to appear. If you want a big picture of the member with smaller stat text, you can place the stat events way behind the party member graphic. Create a script that targets each event and applies the proper VFX, just like the CMS scripts do. I'm sure you can figure it out if you got the CMS working.
That should be enough to get you started. Any questions, be sure to ask.

Allright, I'm going to start working on it soon. I think I can get it working pretty quickly, if I do have problems, I'll post. Thanks for the help.

BUMP I got the stat page that works with Doan's graphical CMS up and working tonight. If any one uses Doan's CMS and want to show the rest of the stats just like the HP,MP, and Level is, let me know. I'll get the instructions posted as soon as possible.
