good news, newer version of my instrumental complete. Drums sound bad, they go out, it's an electronic drum set, an old one at that. I myself am no drummer so maybe I shouldnt have put it in. Yes I do realize I am off beat. I also cant fix it because the drums no longer work at all. they died I guess you can say, old age if I do say so myself lol. anyways, It's posted. Most of it is just winged, especially the drums. I want a new drum set And I want to learn more drums as well! Have a listen and let me know what you think. I wish I could fix it up more, but I kind of cant unfortunately. And should I keep the new version as version 2? or does it sound different enough to make it a different song?
So, I recorded some of my music. I recorded it in my home studio, It is just an instruMETAL track haha, instruMETAL, I make myself laugh. Anyways, It is 2 guitar tracks and a blank track layed in their also to try and even out the sound. The recording isnt perfect, I rushed it cause I had to work that day. I really didnt come up with a name for it yet, but as of now I am calling it Apocalyptica. It is roughly 6 minutes in length, the end has about 15 seconds or so of blank time that I was to lazy to cut out haha. But if you have the speed, time, bandwith, whatever else and all that jazz, a listen would be appreciated. Any feedback would be appreciated also whether it is good or bad ;D Here is the link to listen to it: h1.ripway.com/KngOfTheCloset1/Apocalyptica.mp3h1.ripway.com/KngOfTheCloset1/ApocalypticaVer.2.mp3

I liked it... very catchy. Just when it was starting to feel a little bit repetitive, it changed up completely, so that was good. I definitely think it needs some more (bass and drums?), but what was there was great. I really liked the change of pace when it got kind of quiet, and the high-pitched guitar solo was well done. I love slow-ish guitar solos, and there was also some great technically-difficult fretwork in there, too.
All in all, good stuff. I'd be happy to hear more.

Yeah it's some good Metal. Seems to have some static in places especially near the beginning. Not sure if you were going for varying volume levels around the 35-45sec mark but there are some there and I think it would sound a little better with those smoothed out. But yeah I can see this being a song. You got a tab of it or something, I would like to see if I couldn't put a bassline to this, since I would like to learn how to create basslines to complement guitar chords at some point. Would probably take me a few days as I'm music theory retarded . I could try to just freestyle something to it, but I'm not sure how that would come out. Though it would be clean as I don't have any effects. But yeah man, ROCK ON ,||, ,||,.

Thanx for the feedback guys ;D
And no to answer a few of your questions and suggestions and whatnot.
1. Yes, I think I will add drums and/or bass to my next recording, if not one than definitly the other.
2. It's true, I felt the beggining was very repetitive. And to compensate for that I wanted to make an unexpected change, or something that would throw everyone off, hopefully that went over well.
3. Yes, I smoothed out some parts of the song, but other parts I didnt have time too. Or maybe I was just too lazy too haha. As for certain parts I kept slight static there to give it more of a metal sound. I thought it was a good idea and it sounded good to me haha.
4. Dont worry, I am musicly retarded as well with certain things lol. But I am not sure about the whole tab thing, I have a lot of problems writing tabs because #1 I have never really had lessons and am self taught, except when a friend shows me some stuff and whatnot. and #2 I am very lazy and a master of procrastination haha.
