Actually most of the time you can forgo the whole blowing by just sticking it all the way in and then pulling it out just a little bit. An nes cartridge that is. The thing that happens is the connection just gets loose a bit, so instead of sticking it all the way in you just stick it in a little bit before that and it still works. Of course everynow and then cleaning the connection helps. Though I do remember the blowing as my nintendo is now 19 years old, and still going strong.

I always used some home alcohol and some cue tips or w/e they are to clean the games, always worked on the nes carts!
