Website Update Coming Soon (feedback needed)

I am planning on making an update to the website sometime in the next 2 weeks. Before I start work on it, I would like your opinions and input on a few things:

First of all, save files are currently available in .max, .xps, and .xmem formats. I am guessing that .xmem formats are unnecessary, but before I remove them, I would like to be sure, so if anyone uses .xmem files, please let me know.

Secondly, I would really like some input on how the site should be organized. I think I've grown out of the sidebar buttons with the number of pages that are now on the site. I'm thinking dropdown menus would be the way to go, but I'm going to have to do a little research to learn how, although I'm sure that I can. Anyways, such a change may be a couple updates away, but I should start thinking about it now.

On that note, I don't really like the way that I am currently handling hosted media, so I'm up for suggestions on that, too. Should it be a separate page? Should screenshots be put back on its own page (I think it's harder to find now)? These are some of the types of things I'm looking for feedback on.

Unfortunately, this update will not contain much new material about my game, since I haven't made any progress worthy of being put on the site. So please, please don't post here telling me what you want to know about my game. As I cut some of the nonimportant obligations out of my life, I'll have more time to put into my game, and there will be new content. Sorry it's been so long.

I think the game saves/vids etc... should have it's own page it feels too cluttered right now, and hard to find (well it was when I first came). Oh yeah and my save is a litlle outdated... and stealth ninja can be put up. Also I think the menus where you put your mouse over the menu and it drops is very annoying to be honet. If it's done well I sometimes like it but usually not. But Headers and subheaders are ok with me.

I know .max is for the Max Drive and .xps is for Xport, but I have no idea what .xmem is. I vote to get rid of it (I wondered why you even put up that format in the first place).

I'm not a fan of drop down menus either. They are fine in a questionnare but not in a site list. You could do icons that say what they do when you scroll over them and have a menu list at the bottom of the page. I know several sites that do this. You could also have little buttons with the names on them under the title like some sites do. I suggest looking at some professional websites and see how they handle multiple links.

I agree that the hosted media be on separate pages. It is much easier to find what you're looking for if you don't have to scroll around a lot to find the section you want. Professional sites try to fit everything on one screen so the user doesn't need to scroll at all if they use a standard screen size.

i agree w/ dw on a few things. first, drop down menus are annoying. second, try to keep all pages to a standard length. third, you should probably try to look at some professional pages of different sorts to get idea. the best tip i can give is to make everything on your site available in 2-3 clicks. as for the links, you could break them into sections, and put the links across the top. each link across the top takes you to a 'main' page, and introduces a second menu just under it. if i see you on the net tonight, ill give you some good examples, and remember, if you need any help, just let me know.

Well, I say you should keep the .xmem games until your bandwidth has had enough.
