I'll tell you what i did to let me go there. ( i honestly thought this was how to get to the boss the whole time to.) in the room before the boss, with all the blocks. i pushed that block up these stairs on the tallest pillar in the room. there where like 4 switches around it. once i did that, i kinda activated the switch closest north (towards the boss) by means of examinating it despite the fact i think i wasn't suppose to, as i was a good level up above it and still activated it. that made a set of stairs move north. i pushed the block onto the set of stairs, then hit that same switch again, pushed the block off the stairs, let it move 1 square where it was suppose to be, and re'stepped on it. hit the switch that made the stairs move by the boss key, and got it. i didn't use the grip gloves so i thought i would get them later in the game. then i read somewhere you said it was in the grave, so i rechecked and got them. Still never got the chest on the wall with the big ramp split in half though.

Don't waste your time too much on that last treasure chest in the grave dungeon. It's only for EXPERT puzzle solvers. But it does contain a heart peice. ;D

:oA HEART PIECE!!! *logs out and gets ready to attempt the puzzle* What the hey, almost all of the puzzles so far have been challenging, might as well try to do this one. I am in the middle of the water dungeon, so far, i like it. the maps made for the start menu don't make much sense, the rooms don't exactly look alike, let alone can i make out where i was. so i don't know if i am half way, but either way, cool turtle! ;D

Don't worry there are plenty of other heart peices throughout the game. ;D Don't go back just for that puzzle it's way too difficult. The maps are'nt really for that kind of use. Use it when you start out to show you a general overall of where the key's, heart, boss and all that is generally located. Sorry there isn't a plant dungeon map... I forgot to put it in but I did today on the actual game. Good Luck.... (lol when I went to this site i realized it didn't have anything for my board for today....then I realized it was past midnite so it was the new day lol )

I got the heart piece in the first dungeon! All those years of playing Zelda and other block-puzzle games, really payed off. I had to reset the room and try different tactics many times but I finally figured it out. It was annoying that the gray block can't be pulled, but I'm glad that there was a solution - I was begining to think it was impossible.
I'll try the Water and Plant dungeons today. I look forward to some more challenges. Thanks for the great demos so far.

Oooh good job on getting that heart piece! When you get to the plant dungeon, tell me how frustrating it is in the foggy distorted room. I wanted it to be this way but not too much that it's almost impossible. See I couldn't tell myself since I didn't need to wonder around. I knew exactly where to go so it was easy but idk how the average player will take it. BTW it's the slingshot in that room. Since I forgot to put the map in that demo I'll try to put one below (lol we'll see how it turns out) ........................._____ .........................| Key | ..............................^ | Boss |=| room |=| heart|=| Weapon| ...............................^ ........................Entrance
(note: the entrance isn't a room, that's just to show you the direction you enter[the dungeon from into the room with the heart is where ya start])

i wanted to bring that up when i got there. way to hard in my opinion. i got lost for about 30 mins!. Hey, was it just me, or is the water dungeon suppose to be really short?

You got lost for 1/2 hour lol!!!! But you did eventually figure it out right? I hope so or else I'll feel really bad. I was gunna have an event that cleared it up for like 1 second at set intervals but never got around to it but maybe I'll have to. Thank god I decided not to put enemies in there eh? Which I should go back and add a few enemies through the level..... I just didn't really have any plant orientated enemies...
If you didn't figure it out, I'll tell you:
*Spoiler* When you enter the room head directly south and make your way around the raised ledges and down into the trees head east from there then around the tree directly south to the bottom and under and around the next tree. Move forward then up to eventually a treasure chest to the right over the waterfall. Then make your way back! Sorry it's kinda hard to explain... */Spoiler*
Yeah the water dungeon is really short and I may add to it. I already know the room where the turtle is in I forgot to add the puzzle with more switches....I'll have to do that today too And I fixed the mystery seed problem! I accidentally had it subtract your seeds twice which was the problem.

I made it out fine. i was just checkin if i missed some secrets through out the demo cause i beat the plant dungeon. Speaking of which, i thought the boss was AWESOME! very cool! Yeah, i wondered what the switches were for, i hit one, that allowed me to activate another, and when all were activated, i didn't notice anything. I'm glad you fixed your problem Some one was saying something about a zora tunic or something. i think i'll look for that now.

What do you mean you didn't realize anything when you got all the switches active!!!?? They unlock the chest in that room so you get the ZoraGear so you can breathe underwater infinitely!!! Actually I just changed it today so you get a key from that chest and in the next room you have more switches with the Aqua Turtle and after those switches are active there is a chest with the ZoraGear. I can't believe you missed that! Well that was silly....
I've just added some stuff to my game, I added the Legendary "Ice Seeds". It's a trick to get them but I hint at it several places throughout the game. I'll tell you it has to do with the "Seed Lady" and her secret. I also added a few new people in the town. And in a second I'll add you Doyleman as a wondering dog!!! Then I spose I better finally start on the Ice Dungeon ;D

Okay I finished 1/2 of the Ice dungeon, and I'll do the rest tomorrow. I only have 2 rooms, and 1 is the boss left. I have slidable blocks and bombable stuff and all sorts of fun puzzles....

Just about done with the Ice dungeon, working on the boss. Just taking a lunch break. The boss is a Snowman that gets larger as he collects more snow. And there also bombs that apear out of nowhere right next to you so watch out! After that I'm off to work on the Wind Dungeon...the dungeon I have the least drafted out before I start, but I'm sure it will be okay. (I would have edited my last post but it was from yesterday and I wanted it to have a new post so it said "today" next to the last post)

The enemies are a lot harder now that they chase you and attack every few seconds. I really have to stock up on mystery seeds to stay alive. Makes it easier to build money though, as long as you don't get killed I'll try to get to the plant dungeon before I have to go back to school and let you know what I think of the new dungeons.

Cool, glad you like the new enemy AI. Good luck on those dungeons and don't get too frustrated with the funky room in the plant dungeon where you can barely see anything.
!!!!!!!!!!! I just made the best boss ever!!!!!!! Which finishes up the Ice dungeon so I can start the wind dungeon. The Boss is actually HARD! I used codes for like full hearts and I still died 1/2 the time (remember to save). And just rapidly attacking this boss doesn't help! It's a snowman that starts out pretty small, but as he walks around he collects snow which makes him keep getting bigger and bigger and bigger until he's so big he barely fits on the screen! Also since he's snow you can somewhat walk into him but that's how he damages you. Now if it were just that...the battle might not be too difficult... But I also have Homing bombs apearing out of nowhere all the time that the snowman produces. They basically just appear and will explode after a 2 seconds of chasing you and their explosion hurts to spaces in any direction! Also they are faster then your walking speed and almost as fast as your running speed. Oh yeah, I also added fire floors like in the Grave dungeon where you might have been able to excape from all the bombs and stuff. I wish I could release another demo!!!...but I just did the dungeon before and I want to wait till I finish the game before I do that. Man I'm excited! (does excess of the "!" bother you? well eat this !!!!!!!!!!)

I thought the chest was empty as it said "nothing..." oops. I just hit the switches, examined a few things, nothing new, so i went to the room with the mermaid, defeated it, and went to the boss. (i'm a wondering dog? Cool! I'm in your game!)

I've run into a big problem in my game and I'm goin to get very angry if I can't get it to work because I spent so long on it. I was gunna have it so when you destroy a pot it turns into an item where you smashed it. So I went along and scripted everything....Basically in the Hammer script, if there is a pot it get's rid of it and replaces it with an event called "get item" then in that "get items" action script it runs a random variable that will determine the item. so once it decides the item it place another event of that item there then erases it's own event. Sounds like everything would work but it doesn't. I think it has something to do with scripting limitations of duplicating events.... If anyone has any solutions please help! Also I know it get's to the actual item script itself okay because I can hear the bomb sound effect I just can't see the effect or any of the items itself, I'ld like to get this solved before I start on the wind dungeon, I've already started on the lost forest....
If I get the pot thing to work, here is what it can be: Heart, fairy, arrows, bombs, active bomb(watch out!), or any seed type.

I think if you use a variable called "item generation" when you destroy the pot, randomize that variable, then if 1, show rupee, if 2, show arrow, etc. Then set the page conditions for the event if "item generation" is 1 set the action script to display rupee, the script for the rupee should prob. go like so apply together disp: vfx: rupee: inf. wait 90f temp. removal. apply in order. i think that should work.

try using the event control, take over event, then take over the vase. if that doesn't work, i'm out of ideas... I could ask my brother if he would work on it for you, as he has it made. so he sais anyway

I've figured it out, Yaaay, it's awesome, now sometimes when you destroy pots you get things. I placed a few in the rooms before most of the boss battles for the chance you might get a Fairy for full life, but be careful, the fairies run away!
The problem was when you duplicate an event it uses the current event regardless if you have one called. So It was in a subscript of the square button script...and we all know that the square button script isn't placed on every map so.....where the heck would it duplicate it from, hence the problem. It was using (0 0). So I had it after the pot item event is placed it quickly in the action script moves to the spot where the pot was which I saved in variables. So now it works, except I have to add a little more to the "z" location possibilities, since you can't even have it move up relative to where it's at I have to run a condition for every single height! I have a lot done but some of the extreme Height areas lose the jar item. After that I can work on the lost woods which lead to the Wind Dungeon. Which I can start on tomorrow I guess.
So today I got a dungeon/boss/jaritems done so I did well. Start over again tomorrow ;D

Well, glad to hear you got it working. ;D I did mine simpler, which may help you. first of which, for your script that checks if the enemy is dead, did you use: temp removal, if you did, try making it have no graphic instead and then doing the item generation. the item generation went like so: apply together display : vfx wait the amount of frames the vfx is displayed or just use the frames set for the vfx in the vfx editor. temp removal apply in order it works ok with me, but then again, some of our scripts are different. Good luck on the woods/dungeon/jar breaking thingy!

Yeah it would screw my game up if I did it your way. And it's not the enemies that are turning into items...which is another thing I want to do... It's the jars that turned into the items. But yeah, the way my enemies work in their loop action script that way just would be more of a pain because for every enemy I would have to redo their Action script...

Yeah, that would take a big chunk out of time. Making scripts work sometimes can be a pain, as it doesn't always work, even though it should.

Last nite I drafted out the Lava Dungeon, which I think will be pretty cool! The wind dungeon will be okay too it's just that I didn't draff it out too accurately. I'll work on the wind dungeon today, although I wish I could skip to the lava one. Also a note about my game, I probably will be changing the first dungeon boss to something a little different. The Dragon will probably go with the Wind dungeon, and I'll edit what he does too. Also those who have been relying a lot on mystery seeds alot....don't they only heal you 1/5 the time now. That's the main reason why I'm changing the first boss. Without the mystery seeds healing you all the time, you guys were screwed, especially if you didn't figure out how to get that heart piece, which is extremely hard to get. I'll leave the new Grave boss a suprise for now for those who play with the final copy :-) Also now the jars give you items sometimes when you destroy them. I'm working on having enemies to do the same thing.
