Hey, Neonash; Are you going to put people in your Zelda game? After the first town there isn't much story in the demo. You basically just walk around until you find the next dungeon. Since you are going to use names of the members of this message board in your game, I'm assuming you are going to have people you can talk to besides the first few people. I can't wait to see what you have in mind

I'll have lots of people all over my game...I just haven't added them all...I have a few people in the game already new and they say different things based on the last dungeon you beat like the old lady. ;D

lol yup, I was in a hurry in the other post cause I was about to start showing my friend my game...
But now I can tell you all about what I was doing today... I have the versus mode all drafted pretty much. There will be: p1 vs p2: 8 levels one representing each of the levels to strategically battle a friend.
p1 vs cpu: I don't know how many levels....depending on how the enemy AI is working...
co-op: two player game where you must work together to solve puzzles that take two... (A level for every one of the 8 dungeon genres)
Every Co-op level will allow you to unlock a new item/weapon in the game. Each of the 8 dungeons will be unlockable as you beat the dungeon in story mode. The items you get won't be mandatory for the story game but may be for the Bonus Dungeon in the story game. They may allow you to get heart pieces or other secret things in the game. The things may also just be helpful weapons like the wind sword, Gig Goron's Sword. and much more!!! I don't want to reveal it all....I'll leave some suprises. :-)

That sounds like a classical fighter game for 2P! You know, where you have to beat the enemy on a certain arena, and when you do, you unlock it. Cool idea!

By the way can someone help explain to me what the other characters are in Zelda. They keep saying like Sheik and ppl and I've never heard of them... I've never ever seen them in one of my zelda games I don't think. I know like zelda, link, ganon,(that guy with the balloon...don't know his name off hand), zora race, those green ppl race, sobrosians(i love them...why do they remember me of Kenny off south park?),Gorons, Biggoron, Vaan (isn't there that other super demon ghost thing besides Vaan, btw she'll be in my game after you beat it when you continue with a password from having already beat it once), those three ridable animals, ummm and that's all I can think of...Oh and what were the names of those three ladies of the triforce I should know that one....grrr oh well

Well, as you prob. won't finish your Oot file, i'll tell you. Tingle is the one with the balloon. Din is the red goddess, farore is the green goddess, and Nayru is the blue goddess. Ganondorf, i spose you know him. Shiek, is basically zelda's alternative form, while she was in hiding when link grew up in OoT. That covers it, i think! ;D

Yeah yup, I knew tingle's and the goddess's names. I was just too lazy to look them up. I have played and beaten 4 zelda gameboy games. Played the nintendo one, and I have the one N64 ocarina one. And I test played the wind waker in a store...
What are those green guy's names again. They are in "ages" and they're the guys that steal all your gear. I should add sobrosians and all them in my game, atleast tingle...
Who was that other evil god person like Vaan, anyone know?

Tokay was the name of the lizard tribe that stole all your gear, on crescent island i believe. There was Veran and Onyx, the bosses off of the oracle series. Otherwise, i have no idea what the ghost godlike person your talking about.

My review of your zelda game: :)I liked the fact that you used some things from the other zelda games, the seeds, arrows, etc. I liked the plant boss, and the fact that was action played. :-XI didn't like the fact that link talks on the game, THE PAUSE you say it is to give the enemy a chance, well, the pause stopped enemy actions as well, so really, the pause did nothing, just wasted my time. I didn't like the first dungeon, way to confusing and hard, the first boss was extremely hard, and lastly, the shark from the water dungeon, didn't do anything much, i got hit because the screen went red? was that to represent me getting hit? Overall: 6/10, to short (demo of course, but still, 3 dungeons in 20 mins was short) You have great potential for the future releases of your zelda game. Remember, i am not a fan of most zelda games, but i did rate this with out that fact, out of zelda games, your score got what it has! Good luck with your future demos and games, never the less

Mill: The pause won't be as bad in the final game (or maybe next demo?) as I have it so enemies now get pushed back when you hit them with the sword. So it's okay while testing it, I've played and had 2 friends play with this and they didn't complain at all. And they all liked the enemies turning into items except for the fact that sometimes bombs appear out of No-where...but I kinda like this so I've left it in ;D The shark only attacks you when it comes up and you haven't attacked it or you don't move after attacking it when it goes down.
All: Well I left all my drafting and stuff at school and it's the weekend so it kinda sucks, so I'll probably only work on parts I know for sure of how it was gunna be.

Holy Crap!!!Holy Crap!!!!1 I'm going to CRY!!!! I was just programming on my game for hours and I just lost everything almost. I only saved 1 time like only an hour in though!!!!! I had the entire custom button menu made!!!! And then I had all 8 swords completely made and what they did and everything!!!!!!! Then I was working on the cane of somaria when I made a crappy script. I couldn't get a stupid block to appear in front of the party! I figured it should be the same as having the enemies change into items but Nooooo!!!! So I made this script and the game froze!!! I hit start and select and everything I could but I had to restart....Now I'm distraught.....*cry I guess I have to redo all that.....(the wind and fire sword and ghost sword and Biggoron's sword were soooooo good too)

I'm really sorry to hear this. I'm sure all of us have had some kind of experience like this, and it truly sucks. You'll feel better once you get back to the point you were at before and SAVE it . And look at the bright side: it won't be as hard to do this time around.

Thank you.... and hey.... I'm back to where I was before!!!! And added a few more things too ;D
All the buttons except Square are customizable to what you want. The Seed Select menu is faster. And I'm going to make it so it shows your current equiped seed on screen. All the swords that got erased I remade and they all work well. Only Biggoron's Sword is kinda slow, but I think it's only fair being it hits the three spots in front and does 2 dmg to each!

Wow! You never cease to amaze me. I wish I could take my game to school and work on it but my assignments are very time consuming (who know creativity classes would be so hard?) and I wouldn't have time anyway. At least I get to think about my game and do some stuff on the weekends. I'm glad you got back everything you lost. Keep up the good work.

Okay, since I'm being delayed with my website and stuff, and I know making a vs mode is gunna be the biggest challenge. I thought I'ld better ask if you guys really want a VS mode, if not I can spend more time on the actual dungeons and stuff, I could still put all the vs items in the game hidden throughout. Or I could just change the vs mode into only a co-op. So just to get the extra items or something. I want your input!
A) Stay with all the vs stuff (game will take me longer) B) Stay with only co-op mode C) Get rid of all vs and put the items in the game.

Just having the Co-op mode sounds ok to me, as does hidding the items in the game. You could even have a trading system to get some of the items (like in OoT and MM).
I was never too excited about the VS mode so I won't miss it if you take it out.

I like the sound of the co-op VS mode, as that should make for some cool puzzles that require a new kind of thinking. As for the other VS mode, I actually wasn't all that thrilled about it anyways, because of the difficulties of sharing one controller and finding someone else to play with.
I did like your plans of intertwining the VS mode with the story mode, so if you can still do that, it would be awesome. So I vote keep the co-op (optional 2P, or 1P controlling both people), but scrap the other VS mode as I'd rather see a complete game sooner than have a VS mode that I would rarely play.

That's what I was thinking you'ld all put, but I had to make sure. That's probably what I'll put unless anybody else has some input...?
to Doan: Hey should I make a new topic as Part of this since there are just so-many pages on here?

That's completely up to you, my friend. Your forum, your topics, your choice. I don't really like the idea of deleting topics, as I think it would be better to just lock them and let them fall to the bottom. But even that, you can do it if you want. It's just that some people might not appreciate their post count falling and their comments lost forever. But yeah, if you want to, you can lock this topic and unsticky it and start a new one, or you can just let it keep on going. Doesn't matter to me either way, I just click the final page to see what the last post was about.
