I took a look at it. Very impressive! It took a lot of work, and you've helped a lot of people, including me, which I most likely will be using. Kudos to you The Final Rune!!

Wow, thanks .
Has anyone else checked out my mini world map?
If so, what did you think?
Did you like the volcano?

I looked at your Mini World Map. The Volcano was quite impressive. Strange you placed it way off the corner of the map since you seem to want people to see it.
I didn't see anything amazing about the map - I could create most of the landmasses you designed - but you did do a good job of putting it all together. Well done.
Now all we need is a game to go along with the map.

The volcano was supposed to be off to the side, that way you find it if you look for it.
Unfortunately there is no story for that map, although, anyone that wants to is welcome to use it.
The map there took me about one and a half hours to complete, so its not very spectacular. It was just meant to show how some of my suggested techniques could be used together to make a map.

I love it!!! ;D I have no constructive criticism though. You are indeed the Map Making Guru. I also know that the files (Original and Dungeon files) are worth downloading and examining thoroughly, too. In fact, TFR does some pretty cool and crazy stuff with Object Placement that I would have never ever thought of myself (and Object Placement abilities are imperative and often times overlooked). Well, I think that's all I've got to say. No wait, poop!

I also love it. And, like poopiness, have no suggestions of change. take it as you like, i guess?

Great job Rune! When I start making my game again I'll be sure to look at this. BTW- Is there a town and city part to the guide? I couldn't find it...

[white]Currently I haven't written out any concrete methods for town creation. This will eventually be a part of the guide. Hopefully I can return to the guide and get this part finished once I'm done working on my demo.[/white]

I REALLY like the added illustrations in this latest post!
If you want animated gif files... I can still make those pretty quickly, but the screenshots and mpg's from Drew are better than what I can do at the moment!
Great Work! I will make good use of this when I get back to Work on RPGM2!

Hey TFR! ;D I have a question regarding how you did something in the Map Dungeon file. I re-downloaded the file to see and it confused me a little. The part of the Map Dungeon file I'm talking about is the big ship at the Beach. At first I'd thought that you took an object, re-sized it through an Event Action Script, then put invisible objects where ever necessary for the player to walk... but as I looked through the file it seems as though all you did was make a big ship Object at 700% size (700% size under "Objects"), and that was it - it worked perfectly without needing to put invisible objects for the player to walk on - they could walk on the ship perfectly fine. My question is, is that how you did it? And if not, how did you do it? Also, I apologize if this is already covered in the Guide and I forgot about it. Thank you for everything, TFR.
