Ok, now that the hard work and mental drain of Tetris is over with (ok, maybe that's a bit of an exaggeration lol), I think I'm ready to tackle a new project. I haven't played Doyleman's The Farm Life game yet, although I intend to now. But I'm thinking of creating a game that's one part farming sim, one part dating sim, and a few parts adventure. I want this to be more of an adventure title than just flat out farming sim, but still with a strong farming backdrop. Because of this focus on adventure, there will be a story/plot involved, and a way to beat the game. I hope this will be a unique twist on the farming sim genre. Now to see if I have the dedication to see this through to the end.

If you have not started yet, you can use the now famous VFX Cow from Bigfoot and Myself. If not... follow that link! I don't mind him appearing in multiple games and I'm sure Bigfoot would approve. I can send the file and you can delete what you don't want. There is not much extra in there. Just a [] button script so he can fire his Horn Beams and set old ladies hair on fire (I can re-upload the mpg file if you want to see it). Just a thought. I'm sure you'll make a good game regardless. Peace.

Sounds good! But doyles game also has dating, farming, etc.
Sounds alot like the new Harvest Moon game called Rune Factory for the Nintendo DS, which is a Farm sim/Action RPG.
I look forward to more details.

Never really played any of the Harvest Moon games. Just played a GC version for a few minutes. Well, after a bit more thought, this won't have a dating sim. But it will have relationships/friendships in it.
Anyway, the adventure aspect of this game will take advantage of the items you create/make/find/buy in the farming portion of the game. So farming is more than just making money, it's about finding ways to solve puzzles that further your adventure along. Anyway, that's all the details for now.
EDIT: About the cow offer...thanks, but I plan on creating my own VFX.
And more about the game...as I plan more of it, I realize it's not really as much as a farming sim as I may have made it seem. The farming aspect of it is really just a guise... I hope for this to be epic, yet wacky and humerous at times. There will be boss battles (well, at least a final boss planned at this point), but it's not an action title or rpg. And as I mentioned in another thread, I will be using part of the story I had planned for Vanished Nights in this game.
