Wow, that game looked pretty nuts. Nice accomplishment there. It makes me wonder what other awesome stuff has been done on Tsukuru 5.

I liked it a lot but impressed isn't the right word. We all know stuff like that is possible. It just takes the time, heart, and knowledge to do it. So perhaps "excited" or "glad" or "enthused" to see it. It took a lot of time and it looks really fun, wish I could play....

I was impressed by some of the visual effects in that game. Seemed like a very manic shooter, although based on the video, it also seemed a bit on the easy side. At any rate, I enjoyed watching it. And it's great to see any non-rpg game attempts on RPGM2.
By the way Bigfoot, my attempt used completely 2D graphics and had horizontal scrolling, so it would have been totally different from this one. In a way, what I wasn't able to achieve in RPGM2 (with respect to this), I'm doing with game maker now.

That was awesome. I really liked his VFXs. Very realistic.
It would be cool if RPGM2 had the ability to change language, because then, we would be able to enjoy people's RPGs across the world. (Then again, that would be pretty tough to implement, but it's a cool idea nonetheless)

Why was 'you won', 'start!!', 'You lost', etc in english while the captions that came on the top of the screen not?
And the VFX at the VERY end of vid 2 was, to me, very impressive.
However, the rest seemed to just get me excited because of the colors tossed in.

A lot of the Japanese use a certain amount of English... I'm assuming that it's because of new terms and specific titles that they don't have proper character's in their language for since every character is a word. I notice this with all my import games, there's a lot of names and options that appear in English.
Really all agetec did was hide the Japanese font set in the game and set the default screen to the english characters for typing. All the Japanese characters still exist but in order to use them you have to access the source code of your save and change them.
For example let's take your Farm life game. The beginning of the code has
"Ps2PowerSave6RJ... The Farm /Natha"
Notice how you can make out parts like the title... Unfortunately I only have your compact version of your save, with my online up-loader that doesn't compact the save file I can see more of the actual code.
In theory you should be able to edit this code and save it then add special characters and other otherwise impossible things to your game. I wish I could find the proper syntax for the /\ button icon lol.

In regards to RPG Maker 2, the game had to be translated. I think Valk said that this was done many times, then finally it was done in less than a year. Then of course, you'd have to make sure you didn't break anything by doing whatever you did, or try to fix bugs that were left in the original version.
Same goes for every other game. Possibly some games don't include an english font set and one has to be implemented.

Yeah. That's what I was thinking. If you want the game to be in another language, you have to be well versed in it (or have a friend that all ready is). In Japan, learning English is a part of the curiculum. So, if there was such an option and someone from Japan wanted to have an English option, they could do so.
Of course, it would take extra time to go back and translate the whole game into another language.

Show us yours some time jugem! ;D I don't really have anything to show. All I did was work on the core gameplay / level design elements. Like trying to get a functional scrolling 2D background. And came across some stumbling blocks in doing so.
