Nice images.
If you can now take screenshots, consider taking some from the RPGM2 games you've made. RPGM3 is already wearing thin with me... I will still download your game after I play the other 2 (your RPGM3 game will probably be done by then) (I'm lucky to get more than an hour of playtime in a given day lately... and that includes working on my own stuff) (I post here while semi-working a lot).
Anyway, it's good to see folks putting up images nonetheless.
I look forward to playing some of your stuff.
Peace.

I haven't gotten RPGM3 yet, but I'd say that screen looks good. I agree with rodak too, of course , but I'd be happy with more screens of any of the three.

yay!!! pink!!!!
anyway, unfortunately i've run out of space on my comcast storage area...so i only got about 9 KC screens up...damn. looks like i'll have to get a new site for Chronicle Games sooner than expected.
here's a few pics, but they may not be here for long.
edit: never mind, they're too big. i don't feel like fiddling with them. like i said, i'll get the new site soon, hopefully tonight, and then put the screens up for real.

hey, what's up?! i managed to shrink the pics ("compress" was the word they used) so they take up less space...so all 16 KC screens are now up!
but, when i try to put them in the post, they're huge! ves, doan, anyone, how do i make them smaller so that i can post a few here?
if i can't get them smaller, then you know where to go to see them by now. check out the RPG Maker Page of my site (address in top post) through the extra stuff, and then click on Kuromei Chronicle. the link to the screens is on there.
Rodak, there's one screen that i thought you may particularly enjoy...it's the second to last one.
enjoy!

I tried to view the page, but it kept freezing.
I suspect it is just too large (and I have high speed internet now).
Resizing images is easy.
I'll assume you have a Windows operating system.
Open your images with MS Paint and hit Control + A (select all) then go to the bottom right corner and "drag" it towards the top left corner. That resizes images quickly and easily.
You can also use the Image menu and select stretch/skew. Then adjust the length and width percentages (the same amount or it may distort).
To make it easier you could look for some freeware. I like one called Pix Resizer (may be all one word).
Then you can then make hangnail links and have small pictures here that link to the larger ones.
I hope that helped.
Meanwhile consider making at least two pages of images so it will load more easily.
Peace.

wow, why the hell didn't i think of that? hey, Rodak, check it^^^i thought you'd like this one. as for the other 15, the site now has 2 pages of shots, 8 on a page. same shots, same size, just less on a page. that should cut loading time a bit. site info is all throughout the topic, so if you don't know how to get there by now, God help you enjoy for real this time! -the smurf

wow, why the hell didn't i think of that? I'm surprised by how many people think MSPaint is somehow too limiting for basic artwork. Sure, it doesn't automatically select just pieces of images like expensive programs, but it's free and does all the basic stuff just as well. Anyway... I saw the images. Both pages loaded easily. Nice job. I thought of Marvin on my own but it's always nice to see other people come up with identical ideas... Great Minds work alike. Speaking of which... Yellow Forest Squid? How do you cook it? I can't wait until life calms down a little and I get more play time. Meanwhile your Chronicles are still "In The Pile." Peace.

hmmm...how DO you cook a yellow forest squid...? this is actually a giant bug boss, but since there were no giant bug boss models i had to improvise. yeah, 16 images is a bit much...so i think i'll hold back a little next time. i don't know whether or not i'm going to do any for GC, but i might...maybe. well, that's all i've got as of now, so once i do some more creating in Spirit Saga i may take some more...but i'll be taking a break from the screens to actually make my game this weekend. -the smurf

well, i just discovered that my digital camera has the nifty video feature...and i can make little 120 second videos...hrmmm... well, my old title screen was all black and just had the title (see screen in above post) so i made a little 51 second video of my new title screen complete with the little scene of Gene being late to his meeting with the mayor. home.comcast.net/~smurf85/onlinestorage/media.htmlit's the fifth item under downloads. its pretty low quality and you can't really read the words, but at least it's something. the text is as follows: *huff**huff**huff* Gene: Damn horse... Gene: ...I'll never make it in time! well...enjoy if you want to. ;D -the smurf

Much Cooler!
If you want to add some silliness try increasing Gene's motion speed. If he if moving his arms a little faster while running at that speed it would be in the cartooniernessing ness.
I think.
For better quality try putting the camera down.
Even balancing it in a stack of books can emulate a tripod!
That shaking will go away anyhow.
Nice work on the scene!
Peace.

thanks... ;D yeah, i gotta find something to sit the camera on. this vid was basically just to see how the movie mode works. anyway, he's already going like 10F, so i can't make him much faster. i'll see what i can do. The horse is 4F, i think. also, since this is the screen shot thread, i figured i'd post an update: new SS2 screen shots at www.chroniclegames.com have been put up. better quality than the first set. -the smurf

Very impressive, (note: I haven't even touched RPGMXP yet.)
The way you have your CBS looks alot different then from the sample pics.

Those lighting effects on the title screen are awesome. Did you do that yourself? Nice job on making a CBS, although unfortunately, I do not have any basis for comparison to the default.

the title screen was made through ulead photoimpact (the poor man's photo shop) with the skyline as a base image and using some effects they gave me (fog, lens flare, etc)
the great thing about the cbs is that's its very simple to make. i found a script online that merely moved the character graphics from the bottom of the screen to the side by adjusting coordinates, and you can do the same with the enemies through the enemy party editor. the side-view system is meant for small graphics, though, so i used the character sprites instead of the battler sprites.
i'm definitely getting better with XP, but if you want to see some real works of art, go to rmxp.net's forums and look at some of their screens.

Very nice screen shots.
I have RPG Maker XP (got it the day it came out) but I've had no time at all to do more then play around with it. I though I could work on some stuff during my "free time." Who knew that Animation students don't have any free time. Any extra time I do have is spent sleeping.
Maybe now that I'm on work term I'll have some extra time. We'll see. Either way, I look forward to seeing what you can do with the system, Smurf.

XP is great isn't it? Nice screens Smurf, love Marvin. While making a CBS from scratch is difficult on XP, there are many scripts others have made you can just copy and paste. It takes out a great deal of work when you want to make an exceptionally good game.
