The game of Genesis Chronicle is broken into five “quests”. Your adventure begins in the town of Dunhelm. You are Thursday Lietto. The game begins right in front of your house. You can go in, but there is nothing to do inside. You may want to check out the shop for merchandise (you begin with 500 gold). Here’s some background you’ll need to know about specific buildings (I’ll do this whenever there’s a new building introduced): SHOP: Speaks for itself. The shops all sell the same items at the same prices (lack of creativity on my part) so whatever you can get in one town, you can get in the other. Whenever you see two Eskimos, you know it’s a shop. CHURCH: Enter the church at any time and talk to the priest to save your game. You should do this as often as possible, especially since not all of the towns have a church.
The very first thing that I recommend you do is enter the red and white house in the northwest corner of town and talk to Luna Fieldi. She then joins your team. Another good idea is to clear the training grounds out. Not only are you rewarded with five crystals (heals a fallen comrade), but you also accumulate 100 points in EXP. The Dunhelm Training Grounds are at the bottom of the staircase on the west side of town.
Inside the Training Grounds, there are five rooms. Each one is blocked by a monk. Talk to the monk and he’ll set you up with an easy opponent. The Training Ground enemies are an even match for Thursday and Luna at their current stats, so use these battles to get used to the battle system (as there’s no tutorial). The enemies progress as follows: <<ROOM 1 = Gremlin>> <<ROOM 2 = Gargoyle>> <<ROOM 3 = Skeleton>> <<ROOM 4 = Souls>> <<ROOM 5 = Bone Dragon>> The Bone Dragon is fairly tough as it can attack twice (get used to this; I don’t know why it happens, but I like it). It only has 100 HP, so you can finish it quickly, but you’ll be left hurting. Use herbs and crystals to heal your team when the battle ends. The back door returns you to Dunhelm.
When you’re ready to start the game for real, talk to the mayor who’s standing in front of the fountain. After the dialogue, he directs you to Melville, south of Dunhelm.
I recommend that you spend some time on Taira Island before heading to Melville. I’d suggest that you fight enemies until both team members are at Level 2. When they are, enter Melville.
[glow=red,2,300]Melville[/glow]
Your adventure really begins when you set foot in Melville. You may want to rest at the inn. The cost per night is 25 gold. INN: Rest at the inn to recover all stats of all members that are still alive. If a member has been slain in battle, they are not affected by the inn.
By talking to the boy standing in front of the white building, you learn that something is going on inside. Before entering the Town Hall, you should visit the shop and talk to the samurai. He is Zachary Hanshu, and he joins your team. He already starts at level 2. Once you’re all set for a skirmish, enter the Town Hall.
Talk to either the mayor or the soldier to commence the dialogue (I won’t say anything about dialogue or scenes or storyline; I’ll leave that all to you). After the dialogue you are taken to the battle screen to fight a Guard. The Guard is a “lackey” of the “lackey” of the “lackey” of the main villain (that just tells you how many enemies there are). I suggest you move all items in your bag into your pockets before fighting him. He has a strong 275 HP and can attack twice, so watch out. There is no real strategy for this fight, just use items sparingly. When he is defeated, you can progress to the next town. Heal at the inn first.
[glow=red,2,300]Roseford[/glow]
Save at the church before doing anything else. The only thing you need to do here is talk to the mayor to begin a fight with a dragon. This dragon has a solid 300 HP, and is surprisingly tough to beat. When you do, you are rewarded with further information and are allowed to go to the next town.
[glow=red,2,300]Altira[/glow]
The mayor has been kidnapped…inside his own house…kay. Do what you wish inside the town, but when you’re ready to continue the game enter the big house in the northeast corner. Use the stairs inside the building to enter the labyrinth.
[glow=red,2,300]Labyrinth[/glow]
Don’t judge this book by its cover. This is quite possibly the easiest maze to navigate. You can talk to Death on the east side of the room and he joins your party for a few minutes. You don’t have to, but it’s kind of fun. Even though the dialogue says that he helps you through, you still have to find your own way. It’s easy, just make your way to the stairs, climb up, and head north to the very top. At the bottom of the stairs, Death leaves your party. Now talk to Angela Morris and she joins. Go up the stairs.
Inside the next room is the mayor and two guards. Fight the one on the right and then the one on the left. They both have the exact same stats, and they’re fairly easy. When they’re both defeated, the mayor thanks you by giving you the Castle Key. Now you finally have access to Draco’s Castle.
[glow=red,2,300]Draco's Castle[/glow]
Stock up heavily on items and make sure your team is fully healed before attempting this dungeon. The whole dungeon was created with presets, and, I have to say, is a very nice-looking castle. The dungeon is very complex, but most of the rooms are for confusion. Stick to the main path and you’ll be fine. In the first room, go straight and up the stairs.
The next floor is godly. On the west side is the beginning of the stairs. Climb up and make your way through the incredibly easy puzzles to the very top, where a certain Golem/Sentinel combo denies your progress. This enemy team is very very difficult to defeat. Do NOT use a division of labor strategy against them, or they’ll only stay alive longer. Defeat them, and you’ll be allowed access to the next floor.
This is a continuation of the previous floor. There is a glitch here, where you can actually step into the black part and walk around (I found it rather cool, so I left it alone). Anyway progress up to the very top and confront a new enemy set, the card warriors (you knew I had to do this). You must fight Spade, Diamond, Club and Heart to gain access to the next floor.
The camera angle is very bad here, and I apologize for that. Make your way up the winding staircase to the very top where you are faced with the Gatekeeper/Timekeeper combo. These guys are the easiest of all of the castle’s bosses. Take them out quick-like, climb the mystical staircase, and enter Draco’s throne room.
Draco is somewhat difficult. He introduces the concept of magic attacks to the game, with his Frostbite (if I remember correctly) (as you can tell, I’m too lazy to look for sure). Use items as much as needed and fight for your life. Defeating Draco brings an end to the first quest of the game. Congratulations!
[glow=red,2,300]First Quest Extras[/glow]
There are skit points for Zachary (2), Angela (2) and Luna (1) scattered throughout the field on Taira Island. The skits concerning Luna and Angela just basically give you background on their characters, but the ones with Zachary aid in unlocking a side quest later in the game. If you wish to engage in this side quest, find both Zachary skits [glow=red,2,300]BEFORE DEFEATING DRACO![/glow] They disappear forever once Zachary leaves your party.
Also don’t waste time crossing the bridge on the right side of the map. You will find NOTHING of interest on the empty island there. That island is for use much later in the game, so wait for awhile.
stay tuned for the next one!

[glow=green,2,300]The Second Quest -Aisu Island-[/glow] Aisu Island Bestiary
NAME: Moose LOCATION: Aisu Island HP: 120 MP: 0 STR: 10 AGI: 10 INT: 12 LUCK: 20
NAME: Pegasus LOCATION: Aisu Island HP: 115 MP: 0 STR: 10 AGI: 11 INT: 10 LUCK: 21
NAME: Yeti LOCATION: Yuki HP: 770 MP: 0 STR: 41 AGI: 12 INT: 13 LUCK: 30
NAME: Snow Monster LOCATION: Temple of Ice HP: 900 MP: 9999 STR: 35 AGI: 14 INT: 13 LUCK: 40
NAME: Demise LOCATION: Temple of Ice HP: 1200 MP: 9999 STR: 57 AGI: 15 INT: 15 LUCK: 30
[glow=green,2,300]Neve[/glow]
Back at Dunhelm, talk to the mayor and he directs you to a character standing at the gate of Dunhelm. It’s Death, and walking near him triggers an event where Zachary and Angela leave. (ALL TAIRA ZACHARY AND ANGELA SKITS ARE NOW GONE FOREVER). Talk to Death and he joins your team and gives you the Swiftblade. This is a weapon upgrade for Thursday.
To continue, leave Dunhelm and enter the bridge on the west side of the island. Go across and enter the snowy Aisu Island. In the northwest area of the map is a circle of igloos. Enter them and you are taken to Neve.
All you have to do here is talk to the Mayor for a fragment of the All-Seeing Eye. Rest at the inn if you need to and buy stuff at the shop. Exit when you’re ready to keep going, exit Neve and head to the south.
[glow=green,2,300]Yuki[/glow]
This town is deserted until you talk to the Neve Mayor, so make sure you did that already. If you have, there will be a penguin at the gate. Talk to him and Penguin will join your team. Enter the town and talk to the big white teddy bear to face off against the Yeti. The Yeti is strong, but not really that hard. Don’t defend at all, just attack, and you’ll dispose of him quickly. When he’s dead, you are allowed access to the church and shop, and the mayor appears. Talk to her and get the other half of the All-Seeing Eye. Now you are allowed access to the Temple of Ice.
[glow=green,2,300]Temple of Ice[/glow]
This place has a spiral shape that is REALLY annoying (sorry bout that). Follow it to the center and fight the Snow Monster. Snow Monster has the same magical capabilities as Draco, and he’s pretty much the same with attacks, too. His regular attack is about the same, so you can probably take him out quickly.
Moving on to the top floor, make your way to the center and fight Death’s brother, Demise. Demise is tough. His normal attacks are strong, but watch out for Aero Bomb as it can damage all party members. Take him out, and use as many items as you need. After he’s dead, Death leaves your team. Make your way back to the entrance and talk to Angela. Penguin leaves, and she rejoins. Congratulations! You’ve finished the second quest of the game.
[glow=green,2,300]Second Quest Extras[/glow]
Skits in this area are Luna (1), Death (2) and Penguin (2). The Luna and Penguin skits aren’t important (one of Penguin’s gets you an item) but if you want to see more of Death later on you’ll want to get the two Death skits. Go to the north bridge to move onto the third quest.
this one's pretty short. third one should be coming soon

NAME: Pharaoh LOCATION: Tomb HP: 1800 MP: 9999 STR: 62 AGI: 30 INT: 27 LUCK: 35 [glow=blue,2,300]Vesi[/glow]
Vesi is the first town you come to upon arriving on Sabaku Island. After saving in the church, talk to the professor standing next to the casket and he tells you some information. From there, talk to the mayor and he advises that you speak to Farce. Speak to him and he joins your team. Make sure to stock up on items NOW and use almost all of your money. This may sound strange, but you’re about to get a really good item and the vendor is so desperate that he originally charges $5000 but will take anything lower, so you have a chance of getting it for free. The man is under one of the canopies, and the item is the Double Edge Axe weapon for Luna. When you’re ready, go to Oashu, northwest of Vesi.
[glow=blue,2,300]Oashu[/glow]
The first thing you do in Oashu is fight Draco again. His HP is double what it was the last time, and he now has Thunder Strike which hits every party member, but you have Farce, whose weapon usually does an extra 4 or 5 points of damage after he attacks. Draco will be tough, so keep at it until you defeat him. Then you can talk to the mayor for more information. From there, head east to the grungy town of Illunico.
[glow=blue,2,300]Illunico[/glow]
This town has a bad reputation. The mayor won’t give you any information right now, because he’s being threatened by an assassin. Fight and defeat the assassin. The battle is long, but not extremely hard. Then the mayor will give you some info on the past. Now you’re ready to go to the tomb.
[glow=blue,2,300]Tomb[/glow]
I designed it so that it would be almost impossible to remember the words the questions are looking for. In case you forgot, the answer to the first question leading into the temple is excesoria (all little letters). Inside you have to go through the circle of rooms. The first treasure chest in the game is in the second room. However, it’s a fake and when you examine it you have to fight it. It’s not very hard, but it can score some mean damage. When it’s dead you get EXP, but this is an optional battle, as is the battle with the vase on the next floor. In the fourth room, the answer is esseria if you forgot, and you can climb the stairs to the next floor.
The next enemy is the vase, if you wish to fight it. It has the same stats as the chest. In the third room a mummy awaits. It’s tough and packs a hard punch, but you should be able to walk away in one piece. When he’s dead, go into the fourth room where the answer is eversia. On the third floor, the pharaoh is waiting. Farce translates for him, and them you fight. Pharaoh is TOUGH. His normal attack is strong, tsunami hits everybody, and rapid slash causes MAJOR damage. After a tough fight, you are told to return to Vesi. Do that, and talk to the mayor. Angela and Farce leave and you are advised to visit the northeast mountains. Head to the east bridge. That ends the third quest.
[glow=blue,2,300]Third Quest Extras[/glow]
Luna (1), Angela (2) and Farce (2) skits are scattered throughout the overworld. Get them before talking to the mayor after killing the Pharaoh or they’ll disappear forever. The Farce skits change one of the events down the road, so get them if you want to. Other extras include the Fake Chest and Vase for EXP. There aren’t many extras here.
almost there guys. it'll be even better once you can download the game, won't it?

NAME: Wyvern LOCATION: Dragon’s Den HP: 2100 MP: 9999 STR: 75 AGI: 35 INT: 33 LUCK: 42
NAME: Tenshi LOCATION: Government Hideout HP: 2500 MP: 0 STR: 120 AGI: 40 INT: 35 LUCK: 45 [glow=orange,2,300]Kori[/glow]
Yama Island is the most original creation in the game. I actually was able to get the mountains to work. The first town you come upon is Kori, a small village with a harsh dress code. Talk to the townsfolk and one of them leads you Zel. Talk to her (under the canopy) and she joins your team. Zel is unique as she can attack twice, which is very helpful as Luna tends to miss a lot.
You may want to take on the training grounds here, as you get a nice EXP boost. The first room contains a Beholder, the second a Lizard Warrior, the third a Wasp/Hornet combo, the fourth is a Genie and the last is a Griffon. The enemies are fairly easy, so you shouldn’t sweat too much. When you’re done, head to the west side of the island and into the hut situated on the ramp.
[glow=orange,2,300]Baki[/glow]
Baki is built into the wall of the hill, and has many layers. Explore at your own will and then head to the top and talk to the mayor. She’ll advise you to go to Sashi and she gives you the Mayor’s Note. Now head to the snow capped mountain in the middle of the map with the city on top.
[glow=orange,2,300]Sashi[/glow]
Talk to the mayor and he tells you about the dragon sighting. He tells you that the people in the barracks might have some answers. The right side of the barracks has a few NPC’s in it. Alkam and Keira are in the right side (thanks to DungeonWarden and Bluewolf). You don’t need to go in here, but if you want to hear what they have to say, go right ahead. The center barracks have Wolf (thanks again to Bluewolf), but more importantly Saku, another member for your party. He attacks all enemies with his weapon, and he’s like Farce with the extra damage. He’s a real asset to the team. The left barracks contain the Dragonslayer, a weapon that ups Thursday’s attack strength to an ungodly number. Also in here is William, Len, and Devante (thanks to William/Jimmy/Josh Groban/whatever your name is right now, and Hitou for contributions). When you have the Dragonslayer and Saku, you are ready to take on the dragons.
[glow=orange,2,300]WARNING: You MUST get Saku’s skits (2) NOW, before the Dragon’s Den.[/glow]
[glow=orange,2,300]Dragon’s Den[/glow]
This dungeon is a quickie. Follow the path and fight the baby Dragons. There are two. Saku helps a lot here. They should be very easy. When you’re done, move on to the mother. The Wyvern packs a punch, and it won’t go down easily. When it finally does die, you are transported to the Baki inn, where the Dunhelm Mayor gives you news that the Taira Army was massacred. Saku leaves your team, and the mayor says someone is waiting for you on the Yama/Taira Bridge. Go there and pick up Death. He advises that you take out Tenshi, and he’s on the island on Taira that was empty before. Go there, and enter the castle thingy.
[glow=orange,2,300]Government Hideout[/glow]
Just follow the cave to the very back where a man in purple is standing. Talk to him to begin the fight against Tenshi. He has 2500 HP, but he’s surprisingly not that hard. After he’s defeated, Luna wants to leave the party. You are told to return to Dunhelm. Do so, and pat yourself on the back for being 4/5 of the way finished.
[glow=orange,2,300]Fourth Quest Extras[/glow]
There are only four skits available now; 2 for Zel, which get you an item, and two for Saku, which complete the conditions for opening the side quest (as long as you got the Zachary skits). That’s all you can really do here. Depending on your relationship with Death, he may stay with your team instead of Zel at this point (Zel is the default). They both have their advantages, but Death will only stay if you’ve gotten both of his skits on Aisu Island.
game's almost over now! one more quest to go.

You can only get into this city if you’ve gotten both Zachary skits and both Saku skits. If you haven’t then just pass by this section. There’s not much to do here, but in the very center are Zachary and Saku. Talk to either of them to initiate an emotional dialogue. When it’s over, there is nothing left to do here, so go to the city on top of the layered mountain.
[glow=purple,2,300]Torre[/glow]
Save in the church and talk to the townsfolk. One of them, Jack, joins your team. You are advised to go to Hesia, where your first real fight awaits.
[glow=purple,2,300]Hesia[/glow]
Hesia is where the fun really begins. Talk to Leslie to recruit her, and then talk to the man in green who is talking to the mayor. You are taken to a screen where you fight Rodney. He is very similar to Tenshi, just a little tougher. You’ll probably be able to defeat him. When you do, Leslie remembers that someone in the inn is looking for you. Depending on if you got the two Farce skits or not, you’ll be met by one of two people. One is a man who tells you of Farce’s unfortunate death, but if you’ve gotten both skits, it’ll be Farce telling you of some stuff he found out. Either way, you have to remember that there were 152 laws. (The password is “laws”. I would have made it “152”, but I couldn’t get the number thing to work). Now move on to Evona.
[glow=purple,2,300]Evona[/glow]
The same situation with the mayor occurs here. This time, it’s Otome who’s threatening the mayor. Defeat her and you learn more about the Headquarters of Genesis by talking to the mayor. Nobody tells you where to go next, so I, the creator, am telling you to go to the last city, Cyrle.
[glow=purple,2,300]Cyrle[/glow]
Satsu, an assassin, is here to assassinate the mayor. After he does, talk to him and fight him. He’s somewhat tough, but not impossible. When he dies he drops Esseria, the magical key that opens Genesis’s Headquarters. Rest up, and go to the south shore to find the castle.
[glow=purple,2,300]Final Quest Extras[/glow]
I’m doing this now because Genesis’s Headquarters is the final step of the game. There is a Jack skit and a Leslie skit on the island, and the Leslie skit gets you a nice item. Just letting you know.
[glow=purple,2,300]Genesis’s Headquarters[/glow]
There is a set of enemies that appears in this dungeon, the Warrior and the Knight, and it can get quite irritating having them pop up all the time. The path here is straightforward, and at the end of the hall is a boss. You must fight the Demon Sword/Demon Armor combo. These guys are pretty easy, but you’ll take some damage. I advise returning to Cyrle as often as possible to heal and Evona to save.
On the second floor is the second hardest boss after Genesis, maybe even the hardest. Sukai’s normal attacks are pathetically weak, but this mage can pull some insane magic like Shooting Stars and Earth Dance. He can also heal, but use this turn as a chance to hit for extra damage. Thank God when he defends, cause that means you’re not getting hurt this turn. Play your cards right, and you just might win…<br> On the third floor, you have to fight the king’s jester and bishop. Keyaku and Kazoku specialize in absorbing life, but hardly ever do it. They should be a nice treat after Sukai, so deal with them quickly and move on. The password is “laws”.
On the final floor sits Lord Genesis. Nice and strong with 5000 HP, he has some strong magic too, but doesn’t use it much. He can do Meteor Storm, which causes massive damage to everyone, but hardly ever uses it. Watch out for Genocide, because it causes 500 damage to everyone, and that pretty much takes out the whole party in one shot. He’s got about a 4% chance of using Genocide, but if he does, you’re basically dead. He can also use a potion to heal. Upon defeating Lord Genesis, the game ends.
congratulations! you've completed the game!
