Here it is! I do not have a max drive, and I do not have a TV tuner, so what is here is all I can show you, this is the highest quality I can possibly show you...

[white]Well, it has promise. The fact that you can even script a cutscene shows that you've learned quite a bit about RPGM2 already.
I like the design of the cutscene, it has a good sense of action. The text was hard to read against the blue box and you have a few grammatical errors, but all in all, it looks good.
Kudos.[/white]

Yeah, obviously, I am not the best speller. Also, the text and the scene is just basically a rough draft. I am going to continue the game, come back, and touch up some more. (I need more text on the scrolling up part.) and I need to change a few words. (such as Chaminian, needs to be, Kamlndian, I think. It is in my book bag, I might tye it up tomarrow, if I have enough time, it is basically explaining what that race is and such.) But yeah, my furst ever cut-scene.

I couldn't really read the text, a lot of it was text....so that doesn't really help but as far as visual stuff and what not it was good. Fair use of camera etc... so good job.

Well, I am not all that good currently with cut-scenes (Scripting for that matter.) So, I just did what I could, and made it using my skills in scripting, so that is what I came up with. I am still going to go back and edit it a little every now and then. So, this is just the basics of the video. Thanks for commenting though. =D

I thought it was pretty good. I was sitting there watching it and thinking, "Well, I should probably remark that the game has a lot of text initially without much action." But then BAM!!! The scene was done pretty well, I thought. I still think that some of the stuff where you're just standing there while the king is talking could be restructured a bit to make it more interesting, but otherwise I liked it.
I think that the white text on a light blue background is probably not a great idea. I personally like a decent amount of contrast to save my poor old eyes from strain. Of course, that's probably evident from this site's color scheme.
One spelling correction, in the "Star Wars" text, you spelled "execution" as "exicution". You mentioned lengthening the text some, but I'm not sure that's really necessary. I mean, feel free to add some things if they need to be there for your story, but try to avoid having the player read a lot of text at the beginning. There are other ways to relate the opening remarks, such as through flashbacks or conversations with other players later in the game where the main character tells about what happened. I don't know how appropriate those ideas are for your game, but I do think it's a good idea to avoid being too wordy at the outset.

I know, I just mainly want to add text to the scrolling part, to make it sound better. Also, that does not show all of what happened, you will see more as you go further in the game. My next cut-scene, I have a plan for it already. It is going to have more action in it, but I am going to keep all that a secret. Anyways, I am going to try and make that scene better, but until then, I am going to get better at cut-scenes. Well, off to do my chores. Weidersehen.

What could help to make it more interesting when they're talking are facial expressions (script command Event: Effect: Look and if you need it, Event: Control: Change). For example, the scrolling text might be better if you show him facing the camera with a 'Sleep' or 'Angry' Look at a close and low camera angle with a black screen with a Transparency of 50-75% (as opposed to a Transparency of 100% - you do this with the same command that makes the screen fade in or out) (you can still have it scroll for dramatic effect). Otherwise, I agree that white on light blue is tough to read and that a re-write/revision could help. Blue is a good color since it's calming, but perhaps a regular or dark blue that's partly transparent might be better. Overall though, I'm impressed. The slashing part was especially cool.

Ok.. I have been working on this for quite some time now, and I changed the video a little bit. i cannot show you becouse I do not have my camara with me. (I am over my Dad's house and my camara is at my mom's house, where I mainly stay, and I am here for basically all summer.) I also made some other changes, which I will; add to the other thread I have.

Very cool! I saw your use of something very similar to my custom camera system. If that is not mine, well, I'm interested in where you got it , not that I would care. I thought it looked very good, regardless. Anyways, the building system was great. It was certainly nice to not have to wait for new worlds to load, although it unfortunately limits your town size. I thought it looked very good though. The only minor gripe I had was with some of the grammar. At the beginning, you said, "Framed... Murder... Betray... Death." You really want to use the same parts of speech here in order for it to sound consistent; for example, "Framed... Murdered... Betrayed... Killed," or "A Framing... Murder... Betrayal... Death." (I couldn't come up with any good substitute nouns for, "A Framing".) Secondly, in regards to the murder of the emperor, you spelled "emperor" incorrectly, and the wording was a bit awkward. I think: For Murder of the Emperor, I hereby declare you guilty, for reason of your lack of evidence. flows a little better, while saying the same thing. Take my suggestions with a grain of salt. I'm just telling you what I think, and if you don't agree with me, then just stick to your guns. I like what I've seen so far though .

I thought it looked very good, regardless. Actually, I look at The True Coolness's, I tried his, and it failed, it would stop rotating and all the all of a sudden. I was bored one day, and I made one, off of that, but modified in my own way a little, I think, and it worked. Anyways, the building system was great. It was certainly nice to not have to wait for new worlds to load, although it unfortunately limits your town size. I thought it looked very good though. Yeah, I am just going to go with the idea of making multiple screens for some towns. The only minor gripe I had was with some of the grammar. At the beginning, you said, "Framed... Murder... Betray... Death." You really want to use the same parts of speech here in order for it to sound consistent; for example, "Framed... Murdered... Betrayed... Killed," or "A Framing... Murder... Yeah, I agree with you, like I said, quite a bit, this is in it's "rough draft" form, and it will change, alot. The wording sucks right now, but I will fix it I tried to make the words the same length in lettering, that is why I made them like that, I do not know why, I just did try for no reason, to make it appealing for the brain? I do not know, but I most likely will change them though. Take my suggestions with a grain of salt. I'm just telling you what I think, and if you don't agree with me, then just stick to your guns. I like what I've seen so far though . Thanks for your comment, first one so far on it, and I shall edit it a bit, right now, I am working trying to get the clock system to work. It is causing the system to become, laggy right now...

I watched it, loved it (especially the cool building trick!), and agree with Doan on his criticisms. For example, I also think it would be better if it went "Framed... Murdered... Betrayed... Killed".

[white]What's the progress on this? I just watched the 1.1 video on youtube. Its looks pretty good. The automatic interior setup was nice, a little bare, but nice. I'd like to play this demo.
I'm assuming a lot of the graphics are still 'in progress' but the game has a good layout overall.
What are the chances of you getting a max drive so people can play this?[/white]

Sorry for the wait in reply, but I have pretty much stopped this project on RPGM2, BUT I am still working with it. Check my newest post for details.
