Carl Jung, one of the two most famous Psychologists in the world, concluded we are bound by something he called the Collective Unconscious.
This was the result of a lifetime of books, experiments, and sessions, but the one which states it best is a short book called "Synchronicity" which is basically the notion that nothing happens by coincidence and that there is some meaning or design behind everything that happens in our lives.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Collective_unconscious is also a great link, including everything it links to, such as the 8 circuits, etc.
A project known as Web Bot was created to surf the internet and look for keywords. It was originally designed for business purposes like predicting stock market crash, etc, but later became useful in probing the collective unconscious via examing everyones language over the internet.

On a episode of "Decoding the Past" about 2012 Web Bot was examined and found to have accurately predicted many things. It was certainly interesting to see how a computer program became regarded as a prophet.
There is a kind of link between our hopes and fears in the collective unconscious and what will end up happening. So a prophecy may be self creating if enough people believe in it. Even those who do not believe in this prophecy or in any Gods or such may still be affected by it on an unconscious level and playing out their role. Such as an atheist who is repressing the part of him that fears he may be wrong and dreads that there could be truth in apocalyptic prophecy.
The same does not work in reverse for a believer who dreads that there is nothing, because nothing does not exist in any form. Any kind of prophecy, belief, or mythology cannot be affected negatively in the collective unconscious because the non existence of them is what we call reality, therefore only the possibility of their existence can be repressed. Likewise if a prophecy is fulfilled the process is reversed, and we instead repress the idea that it was not a prophecy and could've been something crazier like time travel or insight from aliens.
The true phenomenon of prohecy could very well be an ability to tap into this collective unconscious. The Sybil and the Oracle of Delphi were both getting high on strange volcano gasses in caverns and went into a trance to reveal their prophecies.
Over the years certain things became what Jung called "Archetypes" in this collective unconscious. So even if one were to say that God and the Devil are not real, they are still real ideas in this collective unconscious, the existence of which could be considered godlike to begin with, and are capable of affecting even non believers on an unconscious level. Moreover the idea of God is very prevalent in our collective unconscious and may very well become a driving force by which the collective unconscious becomes God and passes judgment on us and we become the willing and unwilling participants in what the majority of us really wanted.

Other applications of our collectivity include Remote Viewing.
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Remote_viewing Remote Viewing is a means to aquire information by seeing it directly through the targets eyes by connecting with them on a psychic level. Some government tested experiments with psychics were conducted where the psychic would see through the eyes of someone halfway across the world and draw what they saw the subject doing or going. In other examples it is even possible to plant suggestions in the subjects mind resulting in a form of mind control.
This brings us to the concept of the Egregore. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Egregore
www.chaosmatrix.org/library/chaos/texts/gegregor.html
"An egregore is a kind of group mind which is created when people consciously come together for a common purpose. Whenever people gather together to do something an egregore is formed, but unless an attempt is made to maintain it deliberately it will dissipate rather quickly. However if the people wish to maintain it and know the techniques of how to do so, the egregore will continue to grow in strength and can last for centuries."
"An egregore has the characteristic of having an effectiveness greater than the mere sum of its individual members. It continuously interacts with its members, influencing them and being influenced by them. The interaction works positively by stimulating and assisting its members but only as long as they behave and act in line with its original aim. It will stimulate both individually and collectively all those faculties in the group which will permit the realization of the objectives of its original program."
"If this process is continued a long time the egregore will take on a kind of life of its own, and can become so strong that even if all its members should die, it would continue to exist on the inner dimensions and can be contacted even centuries later by a group of people prepared to live the lives of the original founders, particularly if they are willing to provide the initial input of energy to get it going again."
"If the egregore is concerned with spiritual or esoteric activities its influence will be even greater. People who discover the keys can tap in on a powerful egregore representing, for example, a spiritual or esoteric tradition, will, if they follow the line described above by activating and maintaining such an egregore, obtain access to the abilities, knowledge, and drive of all that has been accumulated in that egregore since its beginnings. A group ororder which manages to do this can, with a clear conscience, claim to be an authentic order of the tradition represented by that egregore. In my view this is the only yardstick by which a genuine Templar order should be measured."
The idea is that our thoughts and feelings are real creations that actually exist in some form, and that collective ideas and goals become pronounced enough that their existence may even be inspired by anyone whose intentions are aligned with that of the Egregore.
If we explore the notion of direct reflection in nature, As above, so Below, a tiny part of a bush that perfectly resembles a tree, we are left to wonder about ourselves. It is said that man is created in the image of God. "Have I not said ye are all as Gods" -Jesus. "Let us make man in our image" -God in Genesis.
If we are lesser gods then where do our creations go? if we could understand that then what is above us might also become clear. Size is as infinite as one can imagine. Planets orbit suns the way protons and electrons orbit the nucleus of an atom. In this universe there are many things mirrored in greater and smaller varieties.
If this reflection is completely accurate then we could be thoughts, feelings, and characters in the mind of other gods who themselves live as humans in their own societies, other galaxies or universes. Or our universe could be an elaborate computer program. That would represent only the most ideal world of emanations. These feelings and ideas would still need to manifest into many other forms before it is possible for them to assume a life of their own and exist in the physical realm.
