When I created this message board, my object was to create a place where everyone felt welcome and important, somewhere to discuss their experiences with RPGM2 and most importantly, their game(s). In order for this to work, I believe it's important to give everyone an equal shot at having exposure for their games, so I don't want to favor anyone by having their forum be near the top of the Game Forums. For this reason, I plan on having a monthly drawing to determine forum order.
Everyone who has had a post on their board sometime in the two weeks preceding the drawing will be eligible. Ineligible boards will be placed at the bottom (if someone leaves the message board and stops posting on their board, it would be a bit of an eyesore near the top). I'll just write the names of everyone on a slip of paper and draw them one-by-one at random to determine forum order. I think that is the fairest method, and as long as there are no objections before midnight tonight, I will do it.
When someone gets a new forum, it will now be placed at the top so that everyone gets a chance to see it, hopefully giving it some quick posts.
I don't know about you guys, but I typically start from the bottom and work my way up, reading all posts and responding to the ones that I feel I can contribute to. Doing this should help grab the attention of those people who typically only read a few posts here and there.

I have no objection to this. I read all the posts anyway, so It doesn't matter to me, but it might be good for other people.

Same here. I mix up the order I read them in, but I do read them all (except most topics in the spam board). Sometimes I don't get through all of them in one day/sitting, but I'll get to them later/the next day.

The forums have been reordered. I numbered the existing forums 1-8, then went to a random number generating website and generated some random numbers between 1 and 8. Finally, I began with the first number generated and put the numbers in that order. Here's the raw data if you're interested: 81226282476555773 Repeated numbers were cast aside, so that the numbers I used were: 81264753. That is how the boards are now ordered. FinalRune will be getting a new forum pretty soon, and it will be placed at the top, as I said in my first post.

Wow... I just remembered this today. Sorry guys. I'll reorder the forums now.
-Okay, I used last month's order to number the boards 1-10. The random number sequence was:
1 6 4 10 2 4 9 4 4 8 9 1 6 3 7 5
So the boards have been ordered as they are now.

If you really want to be fiar, just have them cycle through. You could also put the most popular boards at top. I'm not a big fan of the random # thing, I've been bottom middle bottom so idk...

i think random is really the only way to be fair.
doan, are you using a random number generator, or how are you doing it? you should randomly generate each number individually (first number is between 1-10, second number is between 1-10, if number is same as first, repeat) something like that.

I'm using a website that generates a random list of number. The list above is the list that the site generated. Here's the website: www.random.org/

amp and tacticalman have been moved to the last two positions, because, well, no one knows where they are. when they return, they will be put back into the rotation.
