This topic will be for announcing when your personal board has a big announcement or addition. Not just simple updates but let's say a new demo, or massive gameplay addition etc... things to interest people in your game. Not things like Oh I added a town today, I made some more spells, etc... This is designed to send people to your board that normally only check it once a while and not everyday. And I say major stuff just so you don't post everyday, just when you make some extreme progress that it has some significance. If you work on your game every day, you may not want to post until every few days, but if you've been like me and neglected your game just post whenever you get time to signifantly work on it. You could always link to your board too.
P.S I should have a Z:T announcement today if I don't slack off lol.

I really went back to the drawing board on Josaigdan and the Arcane, and I reworked the story.
I finally made my prologue, for many poeple its just Text, but I did all of my prologue intirely by cinematics. Which is a pain in the ass concerning if you have multiple characters moving at once then you have to make many scripts for that and such. But I am really proud of it and you can expect it to be impressive like my other cinematic work.
It concerns who Josaigdans parents were and how he got into slavery, its like I say, in order to have a believable character you have to cover all bases.

I got a sample page from the VFX Editor Guide up. You can download an HTML file from my forum or see it at The Mag. They allow HTML, so it was not a problem. I just could not get the text all black... too much work. Pretend the text is black or just download the real thing. www.rpgmmag.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=26108AND VOTE IN THE GUIDE'S TUTORIAL POLL FOR YOUR FAVORITE EFFECT!! Peace.

One way to make the text all black is to place this in the head of your HTML file:
<style type="text/css"><!-- body {color = #000000;} --> </style>
This is an example of CSS (Cascading Style Sheets... for more info, do a Google search). It tells the browser that any text in the body of your HTML document should be displayed in black. If you don't know about HTML heads or bodies, here's a quick rundown of how your document should be structured:
<html> <head> <title>The title that you want to appear in the toolbar at the top</title> </head>
<body> Anything that you want to appear on the page </body> </html>
So anything CSS-related should go in between <head> and </head>.
Sorry to go off-topic in this post, but the information seemed appropriate, and rather than PM it, I thought it might be something that everyone would be interested in.

It is more in the way their site allows HTML.
The document is fine.
I used to do tons of HTML, but the Mag has a few auto thingies (I guess for security) that change the way HTML is read in certain cases.
It reads empty lines!
It also objected to the whole Head thing.
I code in notepad and I use lots of blank lines to block out what I'm doing.
Browsers ignore it, so I never had a problem.
This is what comes from being self taught.
Thanks for the tip, though!
I'll keep it in mind.
Peace.

I too have been inspired by Takes ACBS system, so yesterday I loaded up Josaigdan and the Arcane, and finally finished my first combo system. (you learn more through out the game.)
It works out alot like Crystal Chronicles or PSO where you have to time your button presses in order to pull off a combo successfully.
I am almost done with all of my gameplay elements, so after that progress should be smooth sailing.

I just remembered!! I have Monday OFF!! That settles it. The VFX Guide is officially put off until the weekend. I know I promised a VD release, but this is less than a one week delay and will be well worth it!

^That sounds pretty cool. I'll try to check it out.
****UPDATE****
I have stopped progress on Deston Chronicles: The Two Realms for now. I accidently erased the file again. Started a new game, so no need to fear.
Peace out!

3rd Gen ACBS GAME DEMO! wah.midco.net/brocknash/3genACBS.maxOk it's not a whole lot but just enough to give a little test of what is all going down in the next gen. I also completely forgot to put a way to get to the dark map where you can only see with your light source so sorry. You can play two characters in the demo, soldier and cowboy. There's 3 maps and they're just kinda to show ya how it works. The gun has a sliht wait for firing cause I didn't want too rapid of fire in the game, cause it would make it too easy, but you'll see it's ok. You can still do a two shot combo with the gun.
