Lately Inspiration has been flowing through my veins, plus im rebooting myself with basic RPGM2 knowledge to get back to my scripting capabilities. Since ive ever known about CMS's ive always wanted to make one solely out of pure VFX, no text boxes, nothing, all VFX. So, during some of my free time I will make a fully functional, and user-friendly as possible, CMS, that shall be fully customizable if you know how to that is. Here are a few Screens of what ive done thus far. It will be a save file, the game mode is on hard, so only use it unless you know how to change it. Also, if you would like, feel free to add your input of what you would like to see. As well as what you would like me to add.

Looks Good.
Have you seen the VFXCMS from The True Coolness?
If I recall he angled the letters to give it a 3D feel. It worked quite well.
Keep it up!

Oh you mean this But yeah he showed me some other screens of it over MSN. Looking good there, Mr I've changed my name like 20 times so no one knows that to call me anymore . It's nice that you're releasing it, I might take a look at it, since after I get working I'll probably be getting back to my game, since I won't have to worry about money anymore. That's what I was going to go for with my system, though really I wanted to get rid of the background for text boxes and make my own, but I think that would have been too cumbersome. Of course my system had to 'write' out the values as it was a bunch of duplicate events, one for each number. Of course that meant I only had to do 10 VFX for number which is nice. Before I stopped I was working on a way to make the numbers update themselves on changes by a sort of an event driven model, raising flags for changed values. As for the angle, well that's because all of it didn't fit well on one screen so I angled the camera a bit. Of course I'm not sure when I would be starting back on it as I have a few other side projects (non game related) I would want to work on. Well keep up the good work, looking forward to seeing what this competing CMS looks like. Well competing in the friendliest sense of the word.

As for the angle, well that's because all of it didn't fit well on one screen so I angled the camera a bit. Well... Poopy! I thought that was an intentional effect!! It gave a real "Artsy" feel to the thing... I am oddly ashamed that I didn't notice, and disappointed that it wasn't what I thought! Still Very Impressed, though! I like the 3D feel it would have imparted, and if I recall it would not be that tough to implement either... I may have to try it myself some year.

This is turning out better and better as I work on it, Ive got 2 characters menus done so far, so I need to make 1 more, and compile some other stuff in there, It should be released relatively soon, hopefully within the next 3~5 Weeks, thats if my work doesn't swamp me with hours(Which they will).
Also here is the basis of how it works.
Choose a player, once you click the player. It Zooms out, and you can choose your options, if you press O once you have selected, it takes you right back to the main menu. The Menus themeselves are gonna be completely customizable, now as for text, VFX text takes up too much space, plus it lags, so Im gonna go with Textbox descritptions, but still VFX options like skills and what not. Its really a VFX CMS-do-it-yourself. I will make the basic structure, and from there you yourself can make it to your own likings, I will make sure to describe what each Variable I use does so no confusion should persist. Items/Equip will take a little longer than expected, but I will find a way to do it, even if I have to make my own system, actually, that might be a better Idea. Ok, well there it is basically, Ill post more info as I work on it.

It gave a real "Artsy" feel to the thing... I am oddly ashamed that I didn't notice, and disappointed that it wasn't what I thought! Still Very Impressed, though! I mean yeah I totally did that on purpose to give it an artsy effect . Though if I can get the resources of the game to handle it I was thinking of making a menu that you can 'wade' through, that would be done on purpose. Maybe like having a cube menu or something. As for the update, sounds good there mister Waka. Not sure if I'll use it as I'm a sucker for making things from scratch, but it would certainly be nice to look through if it ends up well organized, which I'm sure it likely will.

Thanks guys. Ok, I have the run-down on the whole system right here.
When you get the System, it includes. A notebook script which has all the notes for variables, So no confusion should arise, Complete working stats(VFX Numbers for each stat). A completely Functional VFX Skill menu(You have to make the skills yourself). Items will be my own system, which is really relatively easy. I will have a few sample items. Equipment will be fully functional, ill show you how to make an easy and quick equipment item. Thats about it, release date, Late May or Late June, just depends, work comes first. But I think I have a vacation pretty soon.....

Yeah, I liked the new revised one better, plus the old one was starting to remind me of something with the red lines, I haven't seen it in motion but I am glad you changed it.

That's so awesome Waka Laka and TTC! And sharing it with us is even cooler. Yay! Well I would share mine, but it would likely take a few days for me to understand it again . I think I might go through the Number scripts and see how those are done, since it is pretty neat, and if you have a typewriter in your game would be interesting for that. Oh and just to avoid any confusion, mine and Waka's are separate systems. I made mine like a year ago or so, but it was made more for my game. But yeah still looking good there Waka. Keep up the good work.

Ok, there have been a few changes. Its still gonna be done, but (many of you might not appeal to this.) Its really as Nathan would say "give them legos" Meaning, im giving you pieces and parts to make your own functional VFX CMS, don't worry, I will of course have in game help as well as many many notes. Since I decided to just give you the pieces, this can be released, today or Saturday, I might have it done by today, as I made all the VFX first, now I need to just make notes and In-game help. Don't worry, as I always do and have before, I will have a video, of what it will look like.

Very nice. That looks like a great starting point for anyone who wants a custom menu.
Do the character models change based on who is in each position in the party?

Well, the leader is always at the top, but you can add many combinations, I tried to do a member sort, but it was a little too overwhelming. Yeah, there is 1 bug that is really messing the system up, its mainly cause the menu button is on START, I will change it to [ ] cause it makes my life a lot easier.

I need a VFX CMS walkthrough for the menu and all that stuff. I'm still interested in it and I've been confused for a while . Could you help me with that? I also need help on the walking and waiting animation. I believe that the basic concept is to place waiting animation throughout the whole landscape though I'm not sure about it. Could you help me with that as well?
