I'll send you the code in a personal message for being the first person to review the demo (It won't actually do anything until the next version of the demo). cool. thank you for making it to play. - What was it that you found confusing about the battle system? Did I give to much information at once (that speech about the elements may have been a bit long winded) and were you able to follow the tutorial? The difficulty wasn't too high for the first level, was it (you said that you had a hard time playing through it)?right, it wasn't necessarily the game difficulty that made it hard, but more the execution of battle commands and how to get them working. in what order do you execute attacks? when you're next to an enemy, do you press the directional button towards them, then square to attack, then whatever other button combination? i couldn't seem to heal myself either. as for your battle tutorial, i think it's mostly pretty good. i was just having trouble pulling anything off in battle and feeling like i was in control. the elemental tutorial was maybe a little long-winded(only because i've been playing video games and RPGs for as long as i can remember), but ultimately, i thought it was very thorough and quite detailed. the dialouge/story is looking and reading nice so far. i think you're on the right track in that department. your enviornment could use a little more detail as well. such as, in the demo, the opening scene(especially!) or even room in which you start. adding some more texture detailing wouldn't hurt.

i had a hard time playing through your demo of Final Moon. i see lots of potential, but the execution doesn't feel so smooth. i think the whole 2D battle system is a great idea though.
battles are a little confusing, and i still don't know if i'm doing things right. i got stuck in the cliff area, after i came out of the building with the blue orb that teaches you an ability.

Plus I have already started on my DVD menu, and I plan to have special features, like pretend making of's, and trailers to other poeples games. (if you want me to make a trailer of your game, and put in the trailers, let me know. It would be a bit of work, but I think it would be alot of fun) could you make a trailer of my game and put it in your movie?

well, i just got around to playing HH2 about a week ago. finished it within about 2 1/2 hours. that's a short game! anyhow, i'm a big fan of RE4, so i have to give it to you for all the refrences i saw. loved all of them. the camera angle was too close for me most of the time. i wanted to see a wider view of everything. the part where your main character does the whole training episode, after you leave the building.. i got a bit bored and frustrated because it felt like i was just walking and getting into fights without going anywhere(camera was too close and the boxes didn't help with landmarking anything). it was kind of confusing. also, i'm nitpicky and i noticed your characters weren't in their waiting animations for some of the cutscenes. i found that a little weird. grammatical errors abound! i noticed quite a few mispellings and general mistakes with the dialouge. very easy game to playthrough. visual effects were cool. the characters didn't really have a chance to develop much personality. it seemed like just a bunch of weirdness slapped together and made into a short game. lol. ;D overall, i say not too bad, bigfoot. with more effort, i can see you making something great.

maybe you could do both? the game maker version of vanished nights and the rpgm2 version. i think that would be cool. maybe give passwords or something in one game so it could used in the other. connect them.

right off, i must say i absolutely love this game already. i played through your demo(got stuck twice in the school even after reading your bug report and pointing it out!lol.)
i like the story direction so far and my favorite is the battle system. turn-based goodness all the way. ;D if i could throw in some suggestions:
-could you possibly add an auto attack option for battle? -how about a defend option? sometimes, i don't want the current attacker to do anything. for example: i earned the thrust ability for the main character and i wanted to see it. i had to fight 3 or 4 battles before i got that chance because everyone was killing the enemies before my turn came up. that's when i noticed there was no defend option.
anyway, great job so far. i'm a definitely a fan of sky frontier and i can't wait for you to finish it up.

thank you, rodak. Doan's Domain seems like the place to go for rpgm 2.. so i think i'll like it here. ;D (of course, i've been browsing the boards for a while, just never posted anything)
even though it was released about 3 years ago, people like nash & yourself(among others) inspire me to keep playing. for that, i am very grateful.

just played this and it kept my attention. cool demo in what seems to be a very cool game. it reminds me of mega man! action gameplay with a level select screen and a nemesis by the name of Dr. Sin.

And oh yeah, RPGM4 is rumoured to be for 360, so hooray! where'd that rumor come from? because if it comes out on only one system, i'd have to seriously consider getting an xbox for that reason alone.

i know i'll be given strange looks for saying this, but, i don't play rpg's for the story... that's why i'm glad advent children didn't bother with that part of it(filling in story gaps, plot holes, blah blah blah). i wanted to see cloud and everyone else move around like their cool character designs suggest.
i like body language more than actual spoken language sometimes..

i haven't purchased a copy for myself yet, but i since there's a topic on it, i have to say how much i love advent children. it's a perfect compliment and extention of ff 7.. the cg is incredible and it's a great movie experience. even more so for those who love ff 7 and spent countless hours playing, which makes it even better.
