Some of you my care, and some of you may not care, but I shall say it anyways. First, the good new. I got a new video card today for $77, it is an ATI Radeon X300 SE 256 MB HyperMemory PCI Express Visiontek. IT it at least 4.5X better then my current card. Bad News: My motherboard does not have any PCI Express slots. Only GPA... So now, I have to save up AGAIN for a new motherboard, new AMD processor, and RAM just to use it. Oh well, I have been wanting to get an upgrade for all of those anyways. Sucks though that I do not have any money to buy them with... I do not and cannot get a job, so that is out of the question... So, that is the highlight of my day... Got a new Video Card, but cannot use it... Oh, and currently I have a nVidia 64MB AGP Video Card, as far as I know about it... And in order for me to get my computer all the way updated, this is what I will need. www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16819103637$75.00 www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16813135039$49.99 www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16820231085$89.99 $214.98 Total, about. Soo, yeah, looks like I will be mowing lawns this summer...

I have been very happy with this processor: www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16819103733Of course, when I bought it 6 months ago it was around $160. The motherboard I got to go along with it has been discontinued, though. One thing to keep in mind is that if you upgrade all that stuff, you will probably not be able to simply install your old version of Windows on it, but I could be wrong. That would mean that you would either have to sink another few $100 into a Windows OS (Vista, or XP if they still sell it), or take the plunge and try Linux, which is free. Ubuntu is getting to be pretty usable even for a novice, and if you're willing to do some searching on Google and UbuntuForums when problems come up, you will certainly be able to manage the switch and learn a lot at the same time.

Socket AM2, yeah I was thinking about getting one. I just put those up to get a basic price. I will have to reinstall Windows, which I have sitting about, 6 inches from my hand, which should still work. That is what I am using right now.. I am most likely going to get better then what I posted here, but that is just a price range area, I may sped $350 on upgrades... Oh, and I am not making the jump from XP to Vista, seeing as alot of games do not work on Vista, and I am a gaming type person.

Yeah I figured that. That is why I am staying with XP for now. Windows XP > Vista.
