I was curious if anyone else does "Other Than Christmas / Hanukkah" celebrations.
As a Born Again Pagan, I try to celebrate the old holidays from which some people claim the modern ones evolved.
This is not the Christmas Season for me so much as it is The Solstice Celebration.
New Years is not Midnight, January 1st. New Years is celebrated at Perihelion! (The point in Earth's Orbit when we are closest to the sun and start a new orbit... a New Year!) This year Perihelion falls on January 4, at 3:00.
Am I the only one who find this approach to be more rational than Deity based celebrations?
Anyone have their own approach?
Either way, Peace and Enjoy The Season!
