DW, i know that event conditions only check after content scripts run, but do you know if they check after exiting a battle. itd seem that they would, just wanting to know for sure.
also, what about entering the map? do they check when you first enter a map?

I know that they definitely check when you first enter a map. The enter map script is a content script, so when it is complete, the event conditions are checked and the appropriate action scripts begin. They effectively begin simultaneously, but in reality, they execute in order according to the order in which the events were placed (in the Event Placement editor). This allows for revolving door scripts like the one vicious gave a while back in the Pavilion's tips and tricks.

It works with battles as well. In fact, battles check three times - after start battle, after main battle, and after end battle. I know because I can use the resize command in end battle to change any dead characters back to the tall thin format instead of the default. When the main battle ends, the character's 'dead' model displays before end battle scripts run.
Note that if a character dies on the world map, the model doesn't change until the content script that killed the character ends. This is why I made it so characters can't die on the world map in my game.

new question: pushing triangle executes the error message script, and alot of other stuff. do script conditions recheck after that?

Since the error message script is a content script, I would think that conditions would be rechecked when it finished. It shouldn't be hard to test it out.
