I tried to install my Max Drive PC disk through the CD-RW drive but it just keeps giving me this reading. Could someone please tell me what the problem is? “C:/WINDOWS/SYSTEM82/AUTO/EXEC.NT. The system file is not suitable for running MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows applications. Choose “close” to terminate the application. Close Ignore”<br>

Am I the only one here with this problem? There've appearently been 9 people who've looked through this thread. Anyway, I found a site in which there was someone with a similar problem (http://forum.pesinsight.com/showthread.php?t=15963) but the problem is that I'm not sure what an "option file" is. Could someone please answer?

I concur. I own an X-Port and have no help to offer. You might want to call Datel's customer service and see if they can help you out.

I don't have this problem with mine. But I can't give save files to codejunkies because of a runtime error. And I don't know how to get around it! I've even tried re-installing the PC program. You just probably need to contact customer service or take it back and exhange it for another one if possible.

The most common cause of this problem is that XP has a habit of moving (or even removing) a particular file,
Fortunately, replacing the file is a very simple process. Just follow the instructions below:
Note: If you have installed the Max Drive without any problems, there is no need to alter your set-up.
Go to
c:\windows\repair\
then copy autoexec.nt
go to
c:\windows\system32\
paste autoexec.nt
Now reboot.
If the file is not in c:\windows\repair\
you can expand the file from the windows xp install cd.
On the install CD in the folder \I386 there will be a file called autoexec.nt_
Use the 'expand' command in a DOS window to extract the file to c:\windows\system32\
Type Expand /? to find out how to use the command

LunarMoon:
You said you were using Windows XP, right? I am, as well. I just bought a Max Drive yesterday, and didn't even bother with the PC software. I just plugged it into an available USB port and it immediately recognized it as a drive. It works fine; I was able to download Nash's Zelda game and upload it to my memory card with no problem at all. Give that a try; good luck!

Thanks, RobicN64! To be honest, I didn’t even notice your post (I don’t know how either). I’ll try your advice, though it seems to good to be true. I’m sorry if I appeared rude.
