[white]What a load of ing horse ! I decided to buy a copy of FFXI today. So I want to all my local stores to see if any of them had a copy. Of course none of them did, but my local gamecrazy said that the store a couple cities over had a brand new copy. So, I drive the extra 15 miles to the next city over, and buy my brand new copy of FFXI for the over priced amount of $79.95. This I don't really mind, even though the local Fry's used to sell it at $19.9. Yeah, I know. So I go home, open my new box and what do I find? An open HDD static bag, a ripped manual, and a missing registration code. Hrm, I get the feeling my brand new game isn't so brand new. So call up the store and proceed to gripe. They offer me a refund. Nice to know they stand behind the products they sell. So I sent an e-mail to the corporate and told them I expect a replacement. We'll see what happens.
This is what I sent in my e-mail, do you think I came across to harsh?

Today I drove 30 miles out of my way to go to a GameCrazy store that 'supposedly' had a brand new copy of Final Fantasy XI for the Sony PlayStation 2. I go the store and pay the price for a brand new copy and return home to open my box and play my new game. Unfortunately, the game turned out to not be a brand new copy. The bag containing the HDD was open and its security seal was broken. Also, the manual which comes with the game had a section of the back cover removed. The section which contained the one of a kind and irreplaceable for any reason, registration code. This in of itself is not the worst of my problem. The store employee who directed me to the Cedar Park store, which was 15 miles from my home here in Austin, guaranteed me that the box also came with the PS2 Network Adapter. The box does not come with the PS2 Network Adapter, that is sold separately. So, in addition to be lied to, sold an item under false pretenses and wasting two gallons of gasoline, apparently your company doesn't stand behind the products it sells. When I called the store that sold me the defective game and hardware the assured me that I can get a full refund, but I don't want a refund, I want what I bought; a brand new copy of Final Fantasy XI for the PS2. This is an extremely irritating circumstance. One should not receive this kind of service from your company. I want a replacement. I want to fell satisfied with my purchase. And I want a reason to continue doing business with your company.[/white]
