I've finally started playing with my custom levelling system again... let's see if my brain's too fried to explain my problem in a logical fashion.
I need to figure out if there is a premade variable for keeping track of the party's quantity of a certain item. I've found one to keep track of how many items the party has total, but that's not going to work. I'd like a script branch to execute if the party member has at least one or more, let's say Snake Talismans. If the party doesn't have any Snake Talismans at all, a different script would execute entirely.
I realize I could create my own variable, and manually add and subtract from it when the party gains/uses a Snake Talisman, although I'm not sure how to handle this when, for example, an enemy would drop a Talisman. I'm not all that proficient with battle scripts. It'd just be a lot more convenient if there were a premade script that would track the quantity of Snake Talismans the player had, using the Item Database Number or something.
I tried using a page condition to set this up, too... if the party had a Snake Talisman, one script would occur, and if the party didn't have a Snake Talisman, another script would occur. This worked fine for awhile, but I'm controlling this with one script, and if the number of Snake Talismans drops down to zero, it's not going to switch pages in the middle of the script, so I'm really wanting to do this with a script branch condition instead of a page condition.
