well, those of you who have played through my demo know or may have experienced (most will) a lock up on the way out of the kokiri forest. If any one knows why or how this is happening, i would appreciate it if they could tell me? I am getting the idea that its from "Enemy 1" event because if you notice that when you smack your sword, you hear a damage sound, but your not next to a brush, but, number one (closest one to the EXIT) disappears. I've checked over it and i have no idea why, it's like every other event, but idk. any help will be very appreciated
Thanks in advance: Doyleman:)

Um, ok, could anyone post reasons why rpgm2 locks up instead? (ex: i know sometimes placing buildings will lock it up, but thats in game....)

Um...deleting events with more than one VFX applied to them will cause rpgm2 to lock up. That didn't help? Well, that's all that comes to mind at the moment. I should be receiving your demo soon, so I'll try to take a look at it when I'm able to.

What do you mean by "deleting events with more than one VFX applied to them"? do you mean by Trashing them, if so, i was referring to why it freezes while playing. I'll take a deeper look into my scripts with vfxs though. thanks though Jugem , i'll try fiddling around, *I still think its the enemy 1 event, but its no different than the rest, so idk whats wrong with Enemy 1*

What I mean is using the temporary removal command (I think that's what it was called) to get rid of an event on a map. And prior to removing it, you applied more than one VFX to run on it. So for example, maybe you used two VFX on an enemy event (using two commands to place these VFX on the enemy). Then maybe you defeat the enemy, so when you kill it, you use the temporary remove command for that enemy event.
I doubt that's the problem, but it's always a possibility. I had that problem at one point and was wondering why the game would freeze.

AHA! Thanks Jugem, I do know as a fact that I have enemies running 2 VFX occaisionally ! but how exactly did you get around this? do i just run Call Scripts than commands instead?

I think you can put events over each other by holding R1 and pressing X for the second one. You could then have two events over each other, though this wouldn't really work if they moved randomly. Perhaps you can also (though this is a memory eater) make a third VFX that's both the others combined. I haven't done anything like this, so these are just speculations. Glad to hear you know the problem.

As William suggested, you'll either need to use a different event for each VFX, or combine the two VFX into one. Or maybe there's some other possibility that I'm just not thinking of at the moment...
