I put my Waitressing mini-game on the pavilian and gave it to Doan to put up here as well. Hope you enjoy it.
How to play:
Controls:
/\ - Talk/ action
O - cancel action (some actions can't be canceled)
hold O - run
L1 - turn camera left
R2 - turn camera right
Start - turn camera to face counter
HUD Display - left: left hand item; center: timer; Right: Right hand item
At the begining, you are asked to select a time limit. Select the amount of time you wish to play.
Customers will appear at the entryway. When you talk to them, you are given the option to select a table. Make sure to pick a table large enough to hold the group at the doorway. Look around the area to get a feel for the enviroment first.
Go to a customer and talk to them. They will tell you which menu item they want.
Menu items:
Bacon and eggs - go to the frying pan on the wall and hit /\ to get this item.
Vegetable soup - press action on the pot to heat up some soup.
Bread and Jam - go to the cabnet to get this item.
Beef stew - this item is cooking over the fireplace.
Wine and Cheese - found in the wine cabnet.
The food item will appear in a free hand. Look at the HUD display to see which hand the item is in (the left hand is always filled first).
Talk to the customer again. Select a hand to offer the item. If there is no item or the wrong item, the customer will complain (decreases tip).
Wait for the customer to finish (this is a good time to repeat the process with another customer or seat a few more customers).
Note that some customers are very active eaters and it is easy to see when they are done eating. Other customers are not so active and only talking to them will reveal if they are done or not.
Talk to the customer and confirm they are done (it is only polite to ask ).
Go to the counter and get the bill from the casher.
Present the bill to the customer. They will pay you and be on their way.
Once the customer has left, pick up the dirty dishes and take them to the sink.
Serve all the customers and clean up all the dishers so that there is a free table for the next group.
Note: if you wait too long, the group will get upset and leave without paying. Try to feed as many customers as you can in the time limit and get a high score.
Note: Don't seat customers as soon as they appear in the entryway as having a lot of customers waiting to be served slows the game down. Only seat as many customers as you think you can handle.
