I don't know what's wrong. I've used it correctly and had it work a few times before, but this time it ED UP!!!!! like a ING ER!!!!! Somehow it just doesn't read any saves from the computer. The SavedGames folder has a lot of games in it, but the X-Port software (when you get it all set-up to transfer from memory card to pc and vice versa) won't read the game saves and says there are none on the computer. I've tried everything I could think of including but not limited to: retrying a ton, inserting the pc installment disc into the computer, reading through all the ING 'help' on the X-Port, re-downloading some of the X-Port files off of Doan's site, 'Import'ing game saves from files (which it didn't detect the SavedGames folder at all), and turning off and on everything and trying a ING load more. Someone please help!!!!!

Sorry to hear you're having a problem. I use an X-port but I have never had this happen to me. I think Valkysas said that Windows XP will sometimes move file links around and mess things up. Did you try removing Xport from the computer and reinstalling it? You should move the game saves to another folder and delete the gamesaves folder as well. Then reinstall everything and put the files in the new gamesaves folder. Hopefully that will fix the problem. If not, I don't know what to suggest.

When I'm getting files for my X-Port, all I do is save them to the desktop, open the program, click Import Save and find the file on the desktop, and then click Open. The file can then be seen in the list of PS2 saves on screen.

I've done it!! Okay, well after trying 99% of the possibilities I have some information to share: The files must be unzipped for the X-Port to read them. They're unzipped when they have the X-Port picture next to them and say that they are 2,267 kb in size. The X-Port defaultly only reads from the folder 'SavedGames' under 'XPort 2'. Doan's method of saving the file anywhere (remember where) and clicking 'Import Save' in the X-Port menu and finding the file works too, and if all else fails reinstalling the X-Port software and doing this will work. Otherwise, when using the X-Port follow ALL the guidelines Doan gives here doansdomain.proboards27.com/index.cgi?board=Help&action=display&thread=1105499021 .
