Ok, so I made a FPS. When I press X, a fireball comes out the player. But, when I get to a certain point on the map(x=255), the fireball doesn't come out anymore. If I back up from that position and never go towards point 255, I can shoot them with no problem. However, if I go beyond that point, I cannot shoot fireballs ever again. This takes place on a world map(since you should never use dungeon maps for FPSs).
Anyone have any ideas as to what's happening here?

That sounds like a problem with the RPGM2 engine, unless your fireball script has some kind of special checks that are no longer passed after a world revolution. I doubt this is the case, though, and it seems as if you may have to adjust your world maps so that you do not have to cross the 255 line.

That sounds like what's causing the problem. Once I get to that point, after a few steps into 255 territory I can back out and shoot. But if I keep going until I reach like point 004 or something, no more ammo so to speak. But I just can't see why that'd happen. *sigh* Well, it looks a complete FPS might not be a possibility now.

You can't make your maps so that you don't go around the world? If that's the only thing holding you back, it would seem that it wouldn't be that hard to get around.

Yeah I had a similiar weird problem where I couldn't get visual effects in actio scripts to appear after so far. It didn't really make sense to me so I just didn't use any events that went beyond that point. (if anyones been to the outside ice dungeon in my game, areas like up by the seed lady, any thing north of that went to )

Well I did what you said Doan, and things are going well for the most part. It's too bad RPG Maker 2 wasn't tested by people like me before release. Hopefully no more trouble will come up.

Yeah, that sucks that you were forced to do that. It's one thing to be forced to work around dumb stuff like the DMS options that can only be accessed through the DMS, but for real bugs like this to show up, that's just not right... Oh well, good luck with straightening it all out, I hope it's not too much extra work.
