I've been thinking about this. I'm gonna take the treasures off the world map so the only things to interact with are enterable locations and the square and x menu. The x menu can't have custom music being played during it no matter what, so I was thinking I could save a whole lot of memory and time by not using Doan and Ves's method to play custom music non-stop (sorry guys, no offense, your technique does definitely work). So, in order to make a part of the custom menu where you pick the current custom music (or custom music for when you enter the world map) this is what I've gathered I'd need to do:
Have a variable to determine which song to play and alter it from the menu choices.
My question is this, how would I go about making the action script? The only way to forceably end custom music is with a Force Script End command, but if I do that in an action script would it start up at the top again after that or stop forever till re-entering the place? I'm not sure quite how to do this correctly. Would calling an action script from the content script of the menu choice have anything to do with it?
Thank you!

Here's a method that should work for you: just create a multiple page event to play your custom music. Each page would correspond to a different song, and the condition for each page would be based off a song variable. Then, for each page's motion script, place the action script that has the song in it. That should do it.
In your menu (as long as it's a content script menu), changing the song should change the variable to the value which corresponds to the proper page. Then, when the menu script completes, the event will automatically switch to the proper page and the action script containing the new song will begin.

Sounds perfect. Thank you! I'll give it a try.
