how much stuff can the default item bag hold?
and also, in my game after the first "big boss", you get an item that goes to the main character. if the character's inventory is full, then the item isn't there, but events go on as if it were. is this normal/how do i fix it?
don't i just come up with the strangest problems?

The bag will hold 99 of every item in the game. You can limit what the bag holds by using Variable 79: Total Bag Items which will contain the total number of items in the bag after you use the Load Game Info command.
There is also variable 87: Total Member Items, which will contain the total number of items of the member whos database number is in Variable 86: Member Number when Member Info :Load is used. You can use the data command to change Member number. However, Var86 usually contains the number of the last character to preform an action (the leader in the case of a party action like talking).
Check the number of items the main character has before giving him the item.

I'd recommend you to just always ad items to the Bag, easy and doesn't take any effort at all, and player won't mind 'cause you being the creator wouldn't know what the player'd choose to do with that item any ways.

i see. yeah, i'll just stick with putting stuff in the bag, since it can't [probably won't] run out of space
