Okay everyone, Here is a screen shot of my game im hard at work on, Josaigdan and the Arcane. (Yes thats a lava fall in the backround ) This game is about a slave named Josaigdan, who has been underground all of his life, never once has seen the sky. And when mining finds an ancient ruin where an Arcane has been living, a mythical female human with wings, the heavans give him a task to escape with the Arcane to where you can see the sky. Josaigdan and the Arcane has a full written script and a full cast of already made characters in concept, Im treating this as a full fledged game, and am at hard at work to make sure the story, and character development is as good as can be. And for some of you that played my last game, you can expect for the visual effects in this title to be the best I've ever done. And I'm making my own cbs, its not extroadinary, but its something original, If I get a video demo out soon ill explain how it works. Please questions or feedback wanted!

I never played your first game, but this sounds promising.
My only criticism is this whole "given a mission by the heavens" bit. While it is a useful storytelling trick, it seems a little contrived.
Perhaps a different motivation to get this winged lady outside? Maybe just because she is unhappy.
It must suck having wings and living underground!
I look forward to a demo.
Good luck with the project.
Peace.

Damn, I have a character that looks very close to that. Anyways, the screenshot looks great, and with the story I agree with Rodak.

Thank you for the feedback, note: this is a description of the game in a nutshell, there is a reason to bring her up to the sky, but thats for you all to find out. plus the game is more about the relationship between the characters, I dont like it when games get off focus of the characters and gets to be more about the goverments, and nations and such (like FF8 or Tales of symphonia). But the atmosphere is something im really excited to show you all as well.

As I've stated before on an old account on here, Bigfoot and I live in the same neighborhood, so I often get a chance to see what he has going on RPG Maker 2. And I must say, after seeing this game, I'm very hyped. Forget his bland description of the game--it features good, cinematic gameplay, and has a storyline that actually does go beyond the typical "chosen one has to save the world" crap.
Be sure to check this game out whenever he stops being lazy and finishes it. It's looking awesome so far.

lmao....um....thanks thomas I guess, But I cant think of a way I could host a demo, perhaps if anyone can, pm me, and maybe we can negotiate on what to do (if i should send a vhs or yada yada.) I really wanna generate hype around this thing and hope I can convince you guys this aint cliched at all.

The best way to host a demo is with a max drive or something. If you can get any PS2 file transfer device you can "lock off" those bits of your game you don't want in the demo, give it a password (if you must) and upload it somewhere.
The obvious choice is the Pavilion, but other options include a free website and the famous "yousendit.com" which gives you a temporary link (good for 30 days or 30 downloads). Just put the PS2 save in a zip folder and that's all.
I do not have the ability to create digital video files with any semblance of quality. I need a decent video card.
If you want a really, truly, extremely crappy video, I'll post one of mine so you can see it and understand why I have not posted any so far.
And I did not mean to imply that your game is cliche!! I just have a hard time with Divine Missions. It's purely a personal thing and no reflection on your game whatsoever. I like what I have seen and read so far.
I have been intending on checking out Hippy Hunt 2 for quite some time now. I really am a remnant of the old Hippie movement and am curious about this game. The hold-up is simply time. I have been sticking to demos lately as I can actually play them on my schedule and not lose too much time working on my own project.
Good luck with yours.
Peace.

I get ya, but I want to host a video demo, not a playable demo. Maybe somewhere down the line I may have a playable demo, but I dont like the idea of someone playing my game before its out, cuz I dont like to do that with games in real life lol. (one of my compulsive things.) but if theres demand for it after I can get a video demo up, I will.

Have you considered posting a game file that is just animations?
One big cut scene that shows off as much as possible.
It's complicated, but possible to include a battle system this way. I'm still working on figuring that out myself... but it is possible.
Just a thought.
Peace.

Cutscenes is the thing that I know, I could easily do that, but I dont have 30 bucks to get a max drive at the moment.

Hey Bigfoot, what's going on with this game? After playing Hippy Hunt 2, I'm eager to see this one, with its promise of good character interactions, custom battle system, and splendid cinematography.

Hey Doan, I am glad that you asked that, because I have been working very hard on this title lately. And almost everything I did at the beginning I have scrapped in favor of a better story, and better cinematics. And there is no more new CBS. It now has an ACBS, with tremendous amount of help from Doyle I have an ACBS, that functions with a combo system.
I am using my VFX now to help make the most beautiful RPGM2 atmosphere created, you can expect to see huge lava falls, pressures of steam blowing out of cracks in the ground. This is the game I have always wanted to create, and now I think my RPGM2 skills are good enough to make it.
I was planning to wait a bit longer to release all of these details, but I see that it makes no difference. I don't think I will release a demo for this, I would rather release it once it as a finished game. But I will make a trailer soon and send it to Rodak, so you can get an early glimpse on it.
Thanks for playing my game Doan, for every problem pointed out with my last game, you can expect not to happen with my next.

Now you have to pass it on down to someone as I did and Doyle. But yeah feel free to clue us in some more if ya want on the game's mechanics and stuff I'm interested.

As for gameplay mechanics, the game has-
-Custom menu system
-Jumping system
-ACBS
-No delay
-3 hit combo system, I plan to extend it as game progresses
Mechanics I plan to put in but have yet to-
-Multiple weapons
-Item selection in CMS
and more, I don't only plan, I also enjoy fresh ideas.

Yeah, I've been fortunate enough to kind of see this game evolve over the past few months, and take it from me-- this game is going to be damn good when it comes out. I've gotten to play around with it so far, and it's a blast, especially considering it was made with RPGM2.
Keep an eye on this one, definitely.

Umm... so... Bigfoot.... how's this game coming along?... is it coming along?...
I'm really curious and excited about this one.... when I read about it some time ago, I really liked the sounds of it...
It really reminds me of one of my favorite games ever... Ico..... it too is all about the interaction between the characters... a boy... and a girl.. both needing the other to escape..... I guess this is why I'm so drawn to this project....
I've got ideas in my head about a similar-ish game...
Anywho.. I was just wondering about how this one was coming along cause there hasn't been anything about it in a while....
-El Mastodon
PS- Your other project sounds cool.. and I really enjoyed HH2.... I just reread and remembered about the secret ending... I might have to go back and try and find it...

Thanks Elmastodon, and to answer your question, this project is very much alive. I just haven't worked on it for a while, just pretty much evaluating ideas, so while I am doing that I am working on my side project. But when I get great ideas I go right back to Josaigdan.
I hope to have it done by July, and thank you for your interest.
And I too love the game Ico, I am glad you pointed out a connection between the two titles.

Well I am downloading HH2 right now and will give it a try. I have been pretty swamped lately so I might not finish it right away but I will let you kno what I think of it as soon as I am finished!
