I've had to leave every forum so far because the people and moderators endorse petty theft. I'm hoping that doesn't happen here too, because I like this place. What's more depressing is how every single entertainment business is going to be completely destroyed by these immoral acts. Our whole economy and thus our country and its people are therefore doomed. At first I was glad when the internet won the right to exist, but now I'm regretting that and hoping that a precedent to destroy the internet is made soon. Who cares whether we have freedom of speech if we don't have food, shelter, and clothing? I'd rather be oppressed than starve.

I like this place too.
I also am depressed, because our world is going to be completely destroyed by us, and in 2012 the poles and Earths magnetic field are going to shift and there will be complete chaos. Yep the sky is falling and the world is coming to an end, but I'm sure they'll be plenty of new bands, shows, and Entertainment for me to check out on the way down. The Internet is like when man invented the wheel, the phone, or the automobile. Theres no going back.
Estimated cost to end world hunger 19 billion / year
US military defense budget 400 billion / year
Why did the US make 5000+ minute man missles when it only takes 100 to nuke the entire surface of the Earth? Why can't we spend money on what we actually should for once. Yeah, im more outraged about the big stuff, but then again its the little things in life that really matter.
Also I wanted to say if I upset anyone here Im sorry, because thats not me, I usually go out of my way to help people. I've been on the WoW boards so long I never take these kind of things personal, and I'll be going back there real soon and only using this place for game chat and helping people out with technical problems in their games. I personally have a lot of fun debating things though.

I can't stand theft either. Now that I am trying to get into the music business, I dislike it even more (perhaps even hate it). What bugs me most though is when people believe and act like there's absolutely nothing wrong with it.
One good thing though, is what Sony patented and what Propellerhead Reason (a music composing program) is doing. They register discs to the computer/PS2 and then the discs can never be used on any other computer/PS2. I think that's the inevitable future of the various entertainment businesses. The only problem is that doesn't cover illegal downloading at all. Hopefully some genius thinks up a way to stop online theft.
