Hey everyone. This topic is to help me out with some issues I've been having making a start up screen. Basicaly how do you do it. I want the backround to be a map rotating. Then I'll put in custom music. I also want the name of the game to flash up real quickly and stay. Then the "Start" text blinks and when you press start, the game begins. I have no idea even where to begin to make this. Please help!
Thanks in advance.

First of all, go to Visual Effects and construct a map using various things, and flattening them out with size and hold (X and Y, I believe). Then, in the editor, play around with their positioning and turning until you get a spinning map. It might take a while to get a hang of, but it's purdy easy afterward.
Then, make your title using either 2D or 3D setup (2D would probably work better.) Remember though, keep them in separate files, the map and text.
Now, go to scripts, and make one that has the following: Screen Display> Effects>(viewpoint, I think) [effect=mapspin/repeat=0] Save that script as Mapspin or something, and make a new one with.
Make this one Screen Display> Effects>(again, I'm guessing it's viewpoint) [effect=title/repeat=0] Save that script as something like Title, and make yet another new one.
On this one, do Script>Apply Together and Script>Call Script>Mapspin and Script>Call Script>Title
I'm not sure how this will work out, but this is the safe way for now, and should give you a good start. If you want to try the one I'm not completely sure on, but would get you your effect, Take off Apply Together, and put Wait=200(or some number (this is not seconds)) between Mapspin and Title.
Lastly, in the same script, but under the others, put Screen Display>Multiple Choice and have your choices be New Game, and Load Game.
As for actually starting the new game, I'm not a good one to ask as of yet, but it should be fairly easy.

Using real maps for that is easy.
Use this in an Enter Map script:
Just make the main character invisible (unless you want him showing) and set the map you want as the start point.
Get the camera where you want it (from your description about 90 degrees) (looking straight down).
Then use the camera rotate commands to get it spinning.
For the flashing text you may need visual effects.
Set a user button input to constant wait and start the game right after that.
Is easy.
If you have questions, just ask.
Peace.
